It's elegant, and yes, very sparse.

The focus on recycling has to be there, and frankly, I can't strongly consider designs that don't have some version of the dispenser with roots.

I appreciate the move in another direction- "fresh" is often good- but the reason I'm "not interested" in #10 is that the image just doesn't resemble a recognizable fuel dispenser (and the roots look a little bit sinister). I don't want people to have to think too hard about what they're looking at.
