In Rare Sky #117 we like the emblem you used in the log and how it related to the company's name. We like the colors you are using. Not sure about the "E" but it was creative. Having all the letters in" yesterday" clear and visible is important to us. It would be great if you can come up with an Emblem logo. Thanks again. You're doing a great job!!
So I just wanted to explain my concept. Within the rewind button you have some different scenes from life which goes with your tag line. You have the buildings representing corporate, you have a road for the road of life, the sun of course and a tree. I hope this represents all aspects of what you do. This is very unique concept i came up with just for your company. I hope you like it!
Wow!! It's looking better and better. We love the colors of #17 but we feel the "slogan" is too light and getting lost. The "Yesterday" font is excellent. We asked several people and they couldn't make out that the "triangles" were a rewind symbol. We think the two arrows need to be closer to one another overlapping to some degree. Can you make the 90 degree points of the triangle rounder, creating a softer edge? The road silhouette is a great idea but we feel it takes too much off of the triangle shape. Not sure if this would work or not but maybe the road could be used as the underline (under PRODUCTIONS). We wonder if the city silhouette would be more symmetrical on the right triangle instead. (You decide what feels better) One last note, the tree. We love the idea and think it's a great concept. Can we see more of a "family tree" look, meaning seeing more of the branches and less of a "country" tree? The idea is to trigger both a country feel and family genealogy with the same tree. If we're not explaining this well please let us know and we'll look for some examples to help. Thank you so much. Looking really good. We like the tree and the slogan. Can you please put the right hand side rewind button on top over lapping and get rid of the road. We feel the road is taking away shape of the button. Beautiful. Thank you.
I found that the tree and the buildings couldn't stand alone without some sort of connector so let me know what you think of this so we still have a road and its much smaller. Thanks!
Hey there, First off, we want to apologize for potentially leading you down the wrong path. We thought that a logo like the one you created for "Rare SKY" was going to work for us. It turns out that no matter how amazing your designs are we can't keep the focus on the "Rewind" symbol. We fear that the logo is getting over complicated and that is our fault. Without your help we never would have realized that, so thank you. That said, we still love the look and feel of what you have created we just think that simplifying it will make it work for us. We played around with the placement and feel that the "Rewind Logo" works best on the left side not on top and size should be adjusted accordingly. In order to simplify we think that the pictures inside the triangles should be removed. (it hurts to say that but we feel it's too much) With the pictures removed the triangles can overlap more creating more of the "Rewind" feel. We need Productions to pop more. We realize Productions is just as important if not more important than the word Yesterday. It needs to be bigger with perhaps a darker yellow. In order to do that you may have to make the "Y" in yesterday longer, which is fine. We hope this doesn't discourage you because we really feel you are on the right track. Good Morning. We are loving the logos. We love both #30 & #31. We feel that Productions needs to be a bit bigger still. We would like to keep the "rewind logo" separate from the "Y" so that if we have to use one without the other, we can without issue. Thanks for coming up with the stars. They really work for us. However, we noticed that when the logo is smaller the solid color arrows look better. So thanks for both versions we like them both. One other thought, this may or may not work but if the YES in Yesterday was just a shade darker it may be a subtle positive message. Again see if it works or not. We really like the changes. And also the shine look. However, we would like to reverse the shine. What we mean is that the shine should start on the "T" in Yesterday and the "D" in Productions. So that the YES and PRO is pronounced. The shine does this a a subtle way that we really like. We would like to see two variations of the logo, if you don't mind. One without the stars and the road and one logo in black and white.
We have been talking to you and about you so much this past week that we would like your name so that we can stop referring to you as "kyro6" Your patience with us has been greatly appreciated.
Kyro, We added a few days because of all the last minute entries but as you can see you logo is still our first pick. We would like to see the tagline "The highlights of your life" a little better. Right now we feel it is getting lost. Perhaps a different (darker) color and/or larger font. As always, we look forward to seeing what you come up with. Thanks again.
Hi Deb and Steven. I increased the weight of the font here and added a couple of stars for "highlights" which i could easily take off. I didn't want to make the font too big because you want it to fit in nicely and not overtake the company name. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
We have been looking at the logo so much that I am starting to see the "rewinds" as two eyes and the line underneath as a mouth. I don't know if you can see that or not but I'm starting to wonder if other people see that as well. I will ask around for some input. Let us know what you think. Thanks again.
No i dont see that at all. you may have been looking at it too long :) i can separate the rewind symbols instead of overlapping; maybe that would help. Also, i think you have to have some sort of divider between the company name and the tag line so i can play with the shape some but I dont think thats the issue.
Hey Kyro, Don't hate us but we got a lot of feedback...don't worry all positive but we would like to see some changes. First off, we were wrong about the shine. The solid color will work best. Productions and rewind buttons need to be black. And the tag line needs to be bolder or black. We notice when the blacks and the blues are together the logo really pops.
