Our Ideas & Additional Information
Focus on the "YBR" portion of the logo, as that will need to stand on its own, but we also want a subtext below (or above maybe) with "Yellow Brick Road" that can be included with the YBR logo. Looking for a custom design, not a typed font. It might be nice to have the YBR letters interlocking or connected as one piece. The "brick" theme or texture is not crucial, but if tastefully done could be a nice element to incorporate. This logo should borrow from, but not copy the other popular classic rock band logos shown in the attached compilation (AC/DC, Aerosmith, etc). I've also uploaded a comp of previous YBR band logos we used for T-shirts, etc. These are just for reference. We want a new image that takes us into the next decade. It should have a classic, retro element, yet be bold and easily identifiable. The "YBR" portion on its own could be a necklace pendant, but also be on a black T-shirt or bumper sticker, on the front of a bass drum head, etc. The Yellow Brick Road subtext could be below (or above) the YBR, and either in plain white font, or perhaps a chrome/metallic style. Think rock band, not corporate/business. Thank you and good luck!

Thanks everyone. Based on the entries so far, I'm liking #11 best. I'd like to see the ring around the letters become an actual yellow brick road by making it into blocks or brick segments. And also I'd like to see the ring have a little more separation from the YBR letters. In fact the ring doesn't have to be a complete circle....it could start at the 10 o'clock position as a point and then taper up as it makes its way clockwise to the 7 o'clock position, ending before the bottom of the Y. Just a thought. I like where this is going so far....please keep trying to outdo each other! :)

@nur: Regarding #17, nice but what I meant was that the road would have a taper to it, starting at a point above the Y, getting thicker as it sweeps clockwise around, and then is at its thickest width when it terminates below the Y, sort of underscoring the Y. Also, the bricks maybe should be more in an overlapping brick layout, with maybe 2-3 rows of bricks, instead of just one large segment as you have it.

Still open to other ideas from everyone.

Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for all your efforts. Still open to new ideas. This is a little late in the game, but here's another idea we had for a logo a while back (see link below). Maybe you can get some new inspiration from it. Still time for someone to knock this out of the park. Thanks and good luck!
