Hi All! Thanks for the submissions. They are creative and helpful. I envisioned the measuring units being in relief in the letters themselves, rather than displayed below the letters. In other words, if you take the letters, vertically align them with the measuring units, and then put the measuring units in relief, that's what I envisioned. Hopefully, that description helps. Keep trying! We appreciate your efforts.

Hi Everyone - #1 is closest to our original concept, so if you play with that design, we may be receptive. #2-5 are interesting, relatively polished ideas that we also like, so keep being creative because we are open to both perfecting our original concept and considering your ideas -- including the use of colors. Thanks!

I like the work you've all done. #1 is getting close to the original concept -- which may or may not be where we end up depending on the good work you've all done. Try #1 with the following modification: (1) with black letters, (2) without the shadow/outline, (3) with a lower case "S," and (4) with wider measuring units (that is, so there are fewer measuring units along the bottom; in other words, elongate the measurement along the bottom). All in all, there continue to be many good entries. Thanks, everyone!
