They are used to high end living in the yacht community, but they have a special organic style, think flip flops, khaki shorts and expensive polo. Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Would love to see more big sailboat designs. I like the clean lines of sails and waves for a logo. I have posted some links of sailboat pictures that appeal to me. Classical lines are important, think Nautica type clean logos. I have included many different angles for ideas.
dazzleinteractive: Don´t you think your entries are to similar to my entries? You´re #56. you should know you cannot upload stuff unless it´s significantly different from others.
1. Your font is different then mine, have a close look at the letters of your font and mine and tell me how is that i am using the same font ? i am not, its different.
2. The placement, isn't an idea, the CH likes the placement in a certain way and its applied by other designers on all their designs, am i right ? correct me if i am wrong.
3. Your yacht isn't like my offered yachts, mine are totally different in their looks and i did offer it to the CH with a circle around them and he asked me he wants to see it without a circle, so i did this upon his own request which is on my design note page and i am sure you seen it.
So, please, do not accuse me of copying because i never do that and look at my portfolio and contests i am in and you will know that i do not need to copy anyone and can come up with my own designs well.
Don't worry, although its different if you have a close up and there are no similarities to copying and placing the slogan isn't copying an idea, i would be glad to do a significant differences to my entries, that will be the easy part.
Thats my point, and i am sure alot of other designers who are able to draw well, like myself, would sometimes trace to save time and nothing is wrong with that, but i guess Ivan's point is to do so on a picture that belongs to you or you have a right to it, anyways those pictures belong to me.
i agree with intepid guppy logo designing should not be a trace and submit job ...its someing where you put a part of you inside the designs ..tracing is just copying stuff ....allso standard intellectual right systems prohibit using others artwork in ANY form
I agree with Cristianici. That´s saying the same thing twice in one logo and I think it´s all about to make it as clean and clear as possible. (less is ALWAYS more)
