Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Yachting
#2 - Elegance
#3 - Class

Our Target Audience:

Hip, young, highly affluent professional yacht crew and private yacht owners. Private yacht crew work and live on some of the most beautiful yachts in the world. They are used to high end living in the yacht community, but they have a special organic style, think flip flops, khaki shorts and expensive polo. This logo will be used to develop branded products, like clothes etc. Think of a Nautica style logo. Yacht Owners (the rich of the rich) will also be attracted to this hip brand.

Entry #1, Propellers was meant in reference to boats not wind propellers. Red was not bright enough.

Someone should try something with a sailboat like this in the logo.

Entry #41 is really what we are looking for. Can we see some variations on this idea?

Here are some well known logos for large yacht management companies, perhaps this will help give some people some more ideas.

And this is a really good link for a bunch of big name yachting logos: I especially like Knight And Carvers underwater propellers idea.

dazzleinteractive: Don´t you think your entries are to similar to my entries? You´re #56. you should know you cannot upload stuff unless it´s significantly different from others.

Let me answer your questioning in my designs :

1. Your font is different then mine, have a close look at the letters of your font and mine and tell me how is that i am using the same font ? i am not, its different.

2. The placement, isn't an idea, the CH likes the placement in a certain way and its applied by other designers on all their designs, am i right ? correct me if i am wrong.

3. Your yacht isn't like my offered yachts, mine are totally different in their looks and i did offer it to the CH with a circle around them and he asked me he wants to see it without a circle, so i did this upon his own request which is on my design note page and i am sure you seen it.

So, please, do not accuse me of copying because i never do that and look at my portfolio and contests i am in and you will know that i do not need to copy anyone and can come up with my own designs well.

Don't worry, although its different if you have a close up and there are no similarities to copying and placing the slogan isn't copying an idea, i would be glad to do a significant differences to my entries, that will be the easy part.

Just a note - designers MAY NOT trace designs unless the pictures belong to the CH or themselves.

Why is that? I feel that if a designer can't draw something that intricate from memory, then tracing & modification should be fine.

Thats my point, and i am sure alot of other designers who are able to draw well, like myself, would sometimes trace to save time and nothing is wrong with that, but i guess Ivan's point is to do so on a picture that belongs to you or you have a right to it, anyways those pictures belong to me.

i agree with intepid guppy logo designing should not be a trace and submit job ...its someing where you put a part of you inside the designs ..tracing is just copying stuff ....allso standard intellectual right systems prohibit using others artwork in ANY form

If you use the word "circle" in your company name -- the logo should definitely be in a circle! And not have a sailboat on it???

Why is that? In my opinion is not necessary to tell the people twice ( graphic pleonasm) that there's a circle....

I agree with Cristianici. That´s saying the same thing twice in one logo and I think it´s all about to make it as clean and clear as possible. (less is ALWAYS more)

#154 and # 205 are the best in my opinion. Would love to see #154 in blue instead of black. :)
