Hi Mike...Nice first shot! Unfortunately we have no Palm Trees in New England...perfect if we were in Miami ;-) I should have mentioned that ...here are some vistas of Wychmere region: http://www.photosofcapecod.com/Wychmere%20Pan.htm
Thanks for returning with new "New England" designs! Yes, lighthouse is quite Cape Cod. Of all, I like #8 -- very charming. I like the gradient concept within logo ... i think overall there may be too many lines... a more ethereal and fluid feel would be preferred but not sure how you'd do that here. The sunburst (you also used with Palm trees) is just a wee bit too 'cheesy' for this place (sorry - dunno how else to say that)...lol. Love the picket fence though...other possibitlies are a surfboard ....look at this pic for inspiration (this is the beach there!) http://www.pitchengine.com/brands/longwoodstateroombellemerveroniquewychmere/images/83414/wychmerebeachclubblueweddings.jpg
I don't think there's any other way to say it than cheesy! :) I completely understand though! I will come up with a couple more sleek concepts that fit in with a very upscale vibe.
I still like the lighthouse better #32. I feel the W...too W-heavy. I guess bringing up beach club in font size didn't work, huh...it makes logo feel too heavy. Most everyone is making beach club small. Now I see why. I do however like the new 'wave' element you introduced in #32 and i like this new font too. Flowier seems to be better overall. If you had to refine, I would refine #8...this is very unique and very cape cod.
Sounds great! I will work on the lighthouse idea. I agree with you about the "W" being too heavy feeling. I want to create something that is light and free feeling, something sophisticated. I have such a passion for logos and illustration. I eat, sleep and breath design. I would love to show you my online portfolio but I believe it's against the "rules" on Logo Tournament.
I'm really enjoying your contest! That's for the great feedback!
