I'm liking what is being posted so far, however I feel they are lacking a graphical element.

If we were to have a "favicon" for WPUtilities, what would it be? and how can that be incorporated into the logo?

An excellent example is WPEngine at http://wpengine.com/. They use a simple gear as their graphical element, and favicon. It's slick.

While each of the gear logos are clean, good looking and overall slick: it's also used by someone else within our market. So, out of respect towards them: we won't use a gear-based logo. The gear must go.

I like the idea of the wrench in #10 as the wrench has something to do with a service or utility. Here is a silly idea: could the U in the wrench be used as part of the word Utility? Would a clamp look better instead? Or perhaps it would look too silly.

I also like #14 - it feels like a logo I would see on my water/utility bill. But again, the gear element must go.

I digg how #32 incorporated the wrench element. Slick. Is there any way to give it a little more emphasis?

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ When you provide feedback to designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Please note: if you are asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" designers are the first 5 designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The designer of the 1st place design will be the only designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Gang,

I've extended the contest by 24 hours. I feel as if the submissions could be improved just a bit more. From the feedback I've been receiving: people really seem to like #60. I wanted to share this with eveyone, and provide everyone the opportunity to make any improvements or changes.

As a reminder: please, no gears in the artwork/logo.

Thank you.
