Entry #24 and #23: The size of the artboard of LT is small this is why I am submitting #24 so you can see the actual detail of the bee character. As you mentioned you like the superhero comic type with plenty of dark shadows thus the inspiration for my submission. The logo portrays strength, reliability and special skills (hero persona).
If you feel this is too heavy and prefer a more cartoony character, kindly provide feedback. Thank you!
#65 is awesome. I was explaining that design exactly to someone else! I really like it.
I would however prefer the HVLP gun to be in his topright hand(to the left hand side of the logo), the brush to be in his top left hand, the roller bottom left and a green roll of tape in his bottom right hand. If the wings could be just a little bit bigger I would love that. Lastly, if he could have a logo on his chest, like a TREE or a HOUSE or a combination of both, that could be really cool.

Here are the revised logo based on your suggestion. I added the bridge in the layout as mentioned in the discussion page but if you prefer the wood background more, I can always put it back. I did enlarge the wing of the bee but only up to a certain degree only. The bee is known to have small wings are compared to the body. If I make it larger, it will be more like a hornet or yellow jacket.
#114 is more in the superhero comic page style. Looking forward to your feedback.
I really like #114 the best. There is a few things I would like a bit different though. I really like the layout of #114 but could you just make the "Wooden Bee" out of the same wood grain look as the circle in #113? MAybe the word "Wooden" could be like the lighter outside of the circle in #65 and the "Bee" could be like the darker inside.
Also, the HVLP gun, the trigger is infront of his hand like he isn't pulling it, could he be squeezing the trigger? Could you put paint on the roller and the end of the paint brush to make it more noticeable against the black. And somehow could you make more of the bridge architecture in view so it is recognizable?

I added a few extra changes like I reduced the size of the text extrusion to give way for the background and also to allow me to show more parts of the bridge. Tagline is now centered. I also added a triangular "hair" at the center of the bee's head and also added a gloss on the text to show a shiny finish on the wood. I hope you like this version.
