Color Preferences
I would prefer something more modern than standard primary colors, so feel free to use a more current color palette. I’m also fine with black and the use of white space. Avoid gradients as they are difficult to reproduce when embroidering the logo on shirts and hats.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I’d prefer a logo that includes both the Wizby name along with an icon or a “combination mark” that combines the name Wizby within the icon. This way the icon can sometimes be used separately from the word Wizby (for example: as an app icon, a fav icon, or as an emblem on the front of a hat). Either the entire logo or an icon element needs to scale down nicely so it can be used as a fav icon on a web browser or an app icon on a mobile phone. I’m not opposed to a “wordmark”, but it would have to be a unique font that looked modern but not something everyone has seen used many times, and you’ll still want to consider what kind of fav icon or app icon I could use.
Though not required, I love logos that have a clever aspect to them. For example, logos that use white space or negative space in the design, or some slightly hidden element, or using elements of the logo in a way that forms an object related to the service of the company. Again, this isn’t required, but I really like logos that utilize any of these features. I don’t want the logo to be too busy or intricate (I prefer clean, simple logo designs). The logo needs to be easy to produce when embroidered on a shirt or baseball cap.
I have uploaded a PDF document with several logos I like and what I like about them which is worth looking over. You can also view it at the following link http://bit.ly/2DeUDEP.
