What We Do
The Winter Haven Economic Development Council’s mission as a private, non-profit consultant is to foster expansion of existing businesses and industry, attract new high-skill, high-wage business and industry; expand economic and job opportunities for Winter Haven residents; broaden the local tax base and enhance relationships with local, regional, state, national and international economic development organizations and agencies.

Color Preferences
Our city is lush and contains many lakes. Please use blue and green in the logo. I have attached a reference of a logo they used to incorporate the organization. We like this color palette, but feel free to adjust as your eye sees fit.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Attached is a prior version of the logo. I like the color palette and like the serif typeface. The abstract wave means nothing to me, and makes it challenging to use this logo on a fax, on a shirt, etc. Not functional. We do like the abbreviated WHEDC as part of the logo, and want the longer name Winter Haven Economic Development Council to be more readable.

Thank you for the early submissions. I really like the serif typeface options for WHEDC. Maybe the words spelled out can be sans serif, balancing the classic with the modern. Simplify. Simplify. Thank you for your work... Love the color palette.

If possible, please consider some type-driven solutions. One weakness of the former logo is that the words "Economic Development Council" are so small.

Anything with using a reflection on the water's surface?

Is there a concept out there that uses the blue lake, green land, and some type of business or creativity element?

Anything with the letters WHEDC in transparent blue circles, overlapping? We have lakes that connect, unique to Florida. Could be a design approach,

Please note that Winter Haven is a city in Florida, with lush landscapes and many lakes.

A great new direction would be to have five blue circles next to each other, slightly overlapped with the WHEDC letters in them. This could represent working together and our chain of lakes attribute.

Conceptually, this is right on. Work on options please, varying the circles and using other serif faces. Be corporate and high in stature. Thank you!

Could several blue circles overlap to create a W and an H where the circles intersect each other?
