Danez. I'm sorry I thought I had contacted you earlier. I did type you a comment a couple of days ago but something went wrong with the system or I didn't hit "post comment".

I really like 46. It's great except the shape of the sails is more like a pirate ship. I'd rather have a more modern sail shape please.

Here are a couple of links to google images of boats sailing upwind. That's kind of the sail shape I'm looking for.

I love the shadow and glow you've done on the logo……

Thanks - Links Below

Hi Danez,

These designs are getting closer to what I'm looking for. On #70, a few details I'd like to see if possible.

Can you try on single wave a the front of the boat or two smaller waves at the front? Also, the top of the mast is curving forward a little. Can you straighten it? Can you remove the horizontal lines from the sails? Finally, at the bottom of the back sail, along the horizontal edge, can you drop the right hand side (front) of that horizontal edge down enough that it's parallel with the bottom edge of the icon box?

I would love to see how it looks after these changes. Thanks!!

Hi Danez,

117 is almost perfect. A couple of tweaks.

Here is an image I uploaded to provide a guide for changes:
http://fav.me/d7rnqyw

You can also use the black sails in this link as a reference for shape:
http://fav.me/d7rkznm

OK - going from the picture with numbers. The sail with the A is called the main sail. The front edge is on the right and back edge on the left. The sail with B on it is the head sail. Again, front edge on right and back edge on left. The bottom edge of each sail is called the foot.

1. On the top of the head sail at the corner where the front and back edges meet, there needs to be a very short line sloping from the top of the back edge down at just below level (45 degrees) to the top of the front edge. This detail is very small but gives the impression of a twist in the sail that is important for the overall look. Also, the back edge of the head sail should curve just slightly into the front edge of the mainsail at the top (also in the 1 circle).

2. The line on the back edge of the headsail should start it's arc at the top of the headsail (as mentioned above) close to the front of the mainsail and then arc out a little half wad down and then start to makes its say back in towards the bottom of the back edge of the head sail where it meets the foot of the headsail. The gap here is important because it illustrates the position the boat is in and how full and powerful the sails are.

3. On your image, the corner where the back edge of the head sail and the foot of the head sail meet, has a bit of a hook or a barb. This is maybe my fault because the drawing with the black sails has one too. It really shouldn't be there. That corner should be the smooth arc of the back edge of the headsail swooping down to meet the smooth arc of the head sail foot coming up in a nice clean corner.

4. This edge, the foot of the head sail, is a little too high and a little too parallel. Not much! it just needs a little bit of an adjustment to make it look perfect. Please look again at the black sails in the link. The foot of that head sail needs to look as though it is curved from the corner at the front (where head sail front edge meets head sail foot) to the corner at the back where it is curving in a little to the centre of the boat. It's a little tricky but it is another way that sail will twist when the boat is sailing. It really only needs a little adjustment.

Finally, can you put the adjusted sail on a colour similar to 119?

Thank you so much for your effort. We are making good progress!!

Let me know if you need more information.

OK. Looking good. I will spend a little more time with a couple more tweaks. We are getting much closer. Thank you for effort! I won't be able to give any feedback until tonight but that's ok. We can work it out over next handful of days.

Cheers

Two quick things.

Can you please show me what the design would look like with no icon box surrounding. Just on it's own.

I am interested in seeing a very faint set of gridlines behind the current versions and in a version without the icon box. I just want to know what this would look like. The concept is that it creates a bit of a business look. I just don't know how it would look…..

Thanks!!

Hi Danez. I was away for a few days. A couple of adjustments please.

For sail shape on 135 and 144, I like the top of the front sail as it comes off of the back sail at the top. As you move down, the gap gets wider and then quickly gets narrower before the bottom. Can you try making the gap the same after it comes off of the back sail at the top right down to the bottom before it closes in again.

Also, can you make the bottom left hand corner of the front sail into a point rather than a rounded corner?

Finally, can you try design 135 with no detail around the icon box and no shadowing outside the sail just to see what it looks like?

Thank you Danez!

Hi Danez. OK I am going to award you winner. Thank you for all hard work. What I would like to end up with is the following if this is ok.

Let's go back to 132 as the main colour and shape for sales. Can you please remove outer border and make 132 look the same as 135 except keep 132's colour of blue…..

Also 144 and 143 and 147 are all great. So here's what I'd like if it's possible:

Can I have a new version of 132 as mentioned above and then 143, 144 and 147. Lastly, can I have just the sails on their own in blue?

I'm going away tomorrow morning for three days. i won't be back to my computer until Sunday. I can award you winner tomorrow if these changes are made. Also, I don't know how many versions of the logo I'm allowed to ask for as part of the contest. Maybe you can let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Danez. Sorry, I was away again. I'm back now and ready to get this wrapped up and you paid.

Here are the final things I would like please.

1. I would like to declare 135 the winner but I would like to border removed from the icon box.
2. For design 147 can you please change the shape of the sails to match the shape in 135.

I'm am hoping I can receive 135, 143, 144 and 147 once I've awarded 135 the winner.

Thanks!

Hi Danez. I have selected your design as the winner. Thank you for working with me and for your overall hard work. A couple of things.

1. I would like to use files with and without "Insight Strategy Action Results". Will I be able to remove this line when I don't want it?

2. I just noticed now that the "Business Services" and "Insight Strategy Action Results" lines are very light in appearance. Should they be darker?

3. If I want to have you do some more design work for me down the road, can we make that arrangement? How would that work?

Thanks!!
