A globally-focused digital magazine dedicated to telling the story of how technology is changing the world and improving people's lives.

A balance of white an black would be good -- the magazine is informally referred to as WhiteHat (with a black stripe) to refer to white hat hackers who hack for good (usually to find weaknesses in corporate systems) and black hat hackers who hack to cause chaos or steal.

Please stay away from pinks or pastels, I would prefer bold, gender neutral colors.

When I previously played around with logo design myself, I used red and black, and am fine with using those colors, but also not limited to them.

Please do not use a white cowboy hat or fedora in the logo; honestly, I would prefer no hat at all. There are trademark considerations I would like to just avoid with using the hat.

I have attached some links of other logos I like, as well as one logo I originally designed that looks like [WH]; I am no designer, however, so I was never totally satisfied with this logo.
