Discussion

Hi, is it possible to try with another font for #31. We like the logo, but the font is too classic.
Best regards,
Sofie

I could Sofie, but you would need to re-rank me to first place to allow me to continue to upload. Once i have uploaded you could then change the rankings to suit your needs :)

#115
Hi, nice W in this font but the letters are a little vague. #117 looks stronger.
BUT - we would really like to have the logo as part of the name itself. Is it at all possible to use tho logo as the W in the name?

Hi again Sofie, i have just upload #128 using a bolder version of that font, and also #129 where i used the symbol 'w' as the actual 'w' in westrgrd, just let mw know of any more changes needed, thanks :)

Hi Ray
We may choose to use the longer version of the name: Westergrd because it will be easier to read. The concern is if the logo gets too broad. And I'm aware, that we pointed at the broadest font, but could you try to put an extra 'e' into it - an lets see, how broad it gets.

Sorry - I forgot to ask, if you would try to align the subline right?

Sure thing, I'll work on the changes and will upload again soon :)

..just uploaded #173 adding the extra E and right aligning the tag. I also kerned the main text so as to not give it too much width :)

Hi Ray
We have been showing the logo and collecting comments both inside and outside the house.
1) Many ones seems to be confused about our use of the name - ie letting out letters. We did have our reasons to use a shorter version of the name Westergaard, but may have to turn back using the full name. It will be a challenge not to get to logo to broad, which may be solved either by using af version with the pictogram on top of the name, or mayby seperating the name in to lines (Wester - gaard). Or finally using to versions (type like 173 and 128) depending of the space and use of it :-)
2) We have had comments too on the "worm" or the "snake". None of these are very positivt associations. But a suggestion was made to narrow the pictogram a bit - sort of ricing the right stroke a bit more upward, making the W-feeling a bit more clearly. Does it make sense?
3) Positive feed back on the colours in the red/grey version #172. So we might try to go that way.

..right, thanks for your feedback, i just uploaded #183 using the same 'w' but without the 3D type effect on it. I also used the red and grey colours :)

Logo Designer
..also tried it 'stacked' using the full name #185 :)

Hi Ray
It is not easy! The W looses the magic without the 3D, so we need to turn back to the 3D version.
We are not sure wether to use full name - stacked - or the shorter version. And haven't desided the colour either.
Could you please try to make:
#185 with the original W
#186 with a original red W and the rest of the text black/grey (the colour of Gaard)
#128 - give it an extra E (Westergrd)
#128 - with an extra E in red / grey
Thanks!

..sure, i just uploaded the revisions #187 #188 #189 #190 - any more chages, just let me know, its fine :)

Thanks - the stacked versions doesn't really work - don't you agree? Somehow the GAARD is too domination, and the W is too small - or is hanging a bit by itself.
Would you change £172 with an extra E in one version and another version where you also give the last R (in GRD) the red colour.

..sure, i uploaded #191 & #192 :)

Hi Ray
How will balance be if you left align the pictogram in #190 and right align the tag?
#191 would you right align the tag as well?
When we took in an extra E, you kerned the main text. I do like the font, especially the W, but generally it is rather broad. Does this font have a more narrow version, or would it be wrong compared to th rather broad style in the pictogram?

unfortunately this font is a wide font in general, the W itself, as you see, is quite wide as opposed to other fonts. I uploaded #193 & #194 though with the revisions made :)

.. i also uploaded #195 using the same W but an alternate, narrower, font for the rest of the name :)
