I'm just wondering if there's a way that you can make the "W" stand out more. It now feels a little lost in this design. Could you potentially use another color to set off the different "WAS" initials?
I have a couple more designers to move into the top spot. I'll be sharing these latest updates with our owner later today or tomorrow, but I'm wondering — in addition to seeing a version with the icon to the left of the name — if you could tweak this design slightly to offer him two different concepts with the same shape: If the teeth in the gear above extended all the way around, it could be reminiscent of our state fair ferris wheel. In that case, the "legs" of the "A" could extend beyond the circle to create a base. Just a thought.
I have heard feedback from the owner of this office, and he's concerned there is not, overall, enough variation in the designs. I know that the selection phase isn't the best time to ask this, but if I move you into the top position in the next day, I'd appreciate seeing some creative departures from the work you've already created. Particularly, the owner isn't thrilled with designs that simply have smile shapes next to or incorporated into the name of the office. We'd appreciate you trying to think outside the box a bit when creating variations on the ideas you've already presented. Some potential ideas to consider: West Allis is very manufacturing based, and it's home to the Wisconsin State Fair and the stadium where the Milwaukee Brewers play baseball. Thank you for all you work!
We're not interested in straightforward initials as a logo element, though we like the idea of them being incorporated creatively into a more abstract design.
The simplicity is refreshing, but I'm not sure what's going on with the corner of the smile — doesn't register as a dimple…maybe more like a spaghetti noodle in the corner.
