I really like 49, 50. Can you try making some with brackets that look more like the first 2 on this website: http://www.tocdental.com/products/self-ligating-brackets.php

Thanks for the rank, colin! I'm working on it now.

Great, you have the look and viewing angle I'm going for. I'd just like the bracket to appear more like the ones on that website. If you could try making one metal and one clear/shiny white that would be great. I like how you've done the wording/font, but am still open to small changes, maybe making the letters more 3D? Not positive I'll like it, but would be worth seeing.

Thanks for your hard work.

I also like 55, so any revisions of that would be appreciated as well

could you try putting a wire under "webb" and curving it up through the bracket slot? (similar to entry 57, rank 4...but through the bracket instead of just stopping) without moving the vertical distance between the words. a thin wire gradually becoming bigger and going into slot

going in the right direction with 68! if the wire could get to be larger before it goes through the bracket slot then that'd be ideal. also, the wire has to go under that little door over the bracket the slot, right now you have it over the door.

thanks for your hard work

are these correct?

Thanks colin!

i like the direction we're going. however, the wire looks a bit small respective to the bracket, and also hangs down like rope on the other side. could we make the wire gradually increase in thickness as it approaches the bracket and then also make the bracket a little smaller, so hopefully with both combined it will look more real. and then also, can it just stick straight out on the other side of the bracket?

you will be one of my finalist, but take a look at the detail icon #76 by taxtax. his bracket looks slightly more accurate with regard to proportion, bracket door/slot size, and color.

thanks

Thanks colin, I'll try to modify mine to be more accurate but not exactly like the bracket from the website link that you gave. I have to let you know that I drew the bracket start from scratch and no trace.. so if you need me to make the bracket exactly like on the website, I'm not allowed to do that. Logo Tournament has strict rules in regards to image tracing to keep the originality of the work and avoid copyright issue in the future.

So, I will modify mine but the result will be still different because I draw with my own interpretation using your reference. I hope you can understand this situation... thanks!

OK. I understand. If you can make it as similar as possible without breaking the rules, then good. the picture on the website is not a logo, just a picture of a bracket in general. I'm an orthodontist, not a bracket salesman. A bracket is a bracket. they all look about the same, so should not be copyright issue.

what about making the bracket that you designed white/ivory?...that should be legal.

for #55, could you try that with the new bracket design you have?

like #80 the best. any way to make it more shiny/reflective, but still keep the whitish/ivory color?

Logo Designer
Hi Colin, here are the newest entries #87 #88 #89

to be honest, this kinda bit challenging... glossy / shiny / reflective effect are made from the difference level of white and grey.. so more darker grey versus white will produce more shiny looks, but if I do that the bracket will looks too dark..

in order to keeping whitish / ivory color, I have to use light grey.. but, since the logo using white background, the light grey won't stands out too much... so I tried to using blue background at #86 and I personally think it help a bit to make the bracket more stands out..

you can compare both version in bigger view here :
dark grey VS light grey --> #71 VS #79
before and after revision (I darken the grey color at few spots) -->#79 VS #88

Let me hear what your thoughts.

Thanks!

BTW, actually you could just end the contest and pick me as the winner so I'm allowed to contact you directly to your email. I think through email we can finalizing the logo with much faster and easier. and also, you can preview the logo in large size so you could pay attention to the tiny details since this logo has lots of details.Just a thought

No worries, although if I've been picked as the winner, I'm still ready to provide you revisions as much as you needed until it's perfect. You can count on me! :)

Thanks Colin!
