A not so subtle representation of how moovweb dismantles the web and puts it back together. A representation of complex pieces that come together to form a functional product, which is what moovweb does.
All feedback is welcome. Thank you.

EP84, #43 is very nice. One idea, can you try not splitting the web apart structurally and just try the colored stripes. That might give you the freedom to add more stripes and colors (although try not to do something that reminds people of Apple's famous rainbow logo). Because the logo will be pure text with color, it may not look good in pure black & white. So perhaps add something unique. Perhaps cut off part of the 'v' and move the 'web' in closer. Or try the little infinity thing in #12. Whatever works best. Without the splitting, this could perhaps be a really classic, timeless logo. The splitting seems to somehow make it appear like the web is being made worse by our actions.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. I'll take it all into consideration. I'm gonna try some stuff out and will definitely bring in some interesting revisions. Thanks again.

Sure, I think the colored stripes idea you came up is the best yet for conveying our main idea in a subtle way. One other thing, do you think italic text would look better?

Hi again! I'm actually working on more entries right now :)
I'm struggling with rethinking the whole stripe idea, but I've got other ideas that will probably replace that one conceptually. I'm confident you'll like them. I'm basing my process on the premise that this logo has to work as a b/w version. Give me a few minutes so I can finish a couple of entries and upload them.
About the italic text I'm not really sure but I'll give it a try :)
Thanks! -Ed.

Alright, here it goes :)
#46 is a tryout for italic font.
#47 is a revised version of the stripes, which would look like #48 when applied in a solid color.
#49 is mostly a whimsy tryout that occured to me thinking what if we were to obscure parts of both words as a manner of saying "they are just forming".
#50 is one of my favorites. This concepts speaks about how the web and moovweb as a brand are intertwined and make each other better.
#51 is a similar idea, in which the elements of both words coexist with one another.

Wow, great. I still really like the color stripe idea.

I think #46 should be completely italic, including the 'web'.

Also, it would be cool to see the new 46 and #47 where the break between the colors is slightly more pronounced. I'm imagining thin (~2 pixels?) white stripes at each of the color transitions. The stripes should be on the text, not as a break in the text, so that the 'web' letters are the exact same height as the 'moov' ones. This also makes the black & white version logo work well, as the web part will show the thin white stripes.

Last, how would #51 look using the colors of #46?

Hi again.
#69 as per request.
#70 with the stripes :)
#71 b/w version of #70.
#72 as per request.
#73 italic version of #70.
I'm enjoying this project.

As a side note. I want to let you know that is not permitted to ask other designers to apply concepts brought in by someone else. In this case I've asked designer dukhha to remove entries with the application of the stripe treatment I brought in. I'm sorry is this causes you any inconvenience, it is just part of the code of conduct, to preserve ethics. Same thing would apply to me, it would be wrong for me to apply another designer's idea on my designs. Again I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks again! Let me know of any more changes or adjustments.

Yes, it is great working with you and I think we are close to having our logo. Sorry about my stripes request.

I will list the variations that work best and some suggestions. But you may want to also step away from the logo for half a day to see if you come back and have new ideas.

#69 is the best of the current. Try playing with the colors of the 'web' and try some variations. The colors in #43 might work better. But there are other crazy alternatives that you should experiment with.

#70 doesn't work in it's current form, it appears as if the printer has run out of ink. Maybe the white strips should be bright yellow? Or a dark tone? Or maybe slightly thicker? This one probably deserves some experimentation.

#73 the 'moov' part should be black.

Thanks again. I like working on this with you as well. I hope I can give you a great logo!

#76 is a color tryout.
#77 & #78 are a more dynamic stipe treatment, with thicker strips between them (these work great on b/w)
#79 is a revision of #73.
Thanks!

Great stuff, Eddie. I don't think the thin stripes versions (#77 or #70) look better than the original (#69), which is still the best. I think we can just stick with #69 and perfect that. A few thoughts about #69:

1. The top stripe is to high, leaving only a sliver of that color on top of 'we'. Lower the stripe a little.
2. Likewise the middle stripe is barely above the bottom of the 'e'. I'm not sure if it should go lower or higher.
3. I know I've used the term 'subtle' a dozen times in my post, but you can experiment with more contrast/variety in your colors for the stripes. It might look good to have a bright 'web' when the overall logo is quite tame. Don't hesitate to use bright greens, yellows, oranges, blues, etc.

Another thought, maybe the stripes can be vertical and remind people of the initialization screen on TVs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMPTE_color_bars
