Thank you for your entries you are obviously very creative and talented. I find these entries interesting but...I don't see the brick you referenced in 26 or 27 and while that is not 100% necessary, I am still having a difficult making the design work. I see some potential with 33 and 34 more as abstract mountains. Using a green in any kind of an abstract manner, I want to stay true to the PMS color referenced in the contest introduction. Can you work a 'brick' into 33 and 34?
I was combining the two previous designs, still looking for a balance without having to remove the element of minimalism, and of course keep the parameters of a logo in general, namely, simplicity in mind, the ability of various sizes and colors and also a beautiful shape,
I hope a bit in accordance with which you expect, and while this concept will be further developments before the contest ends.
A real improvement; thank you for listening and making the adjustments. The brick (they are actually block) you are showing are solid, I would like to see #36 offered with 'cores' in the bricks. If you go to http://www.blocklayer.com/BlockWalls.aspx you will see an example of cores, the main difference is that the block in your image are being viewed from directly overhead.
Wow! Great job of interpreting what I said, you actually took things a step further than what I was asking for however by doing so, you have created a need for one more bit of explanation and forgive me for the industry talk but I don't know how else to go about this.
The blocks you have drawn are a standard 8" wide by 8" high by 16" long. The actual units that are the Wasatch Series are dimensioned at 8" wide by 4" high by 16" long - only 1/2 has high as the unit you have used. Does my explanation make sense?
I've completed with the size you provide in accordance with the scale of 1:12 from dimension : 8" x 4" x 16" (may appear slightly different on screen contest)
at # 62, I gave a little glass effect can be seen that the minimum threshold with the font positions.
if there was more I could do to improve it to better fit with the expected, please let me, I'll do it
The reflection was another nice surprise - rather than looking at it as a reflection in glass, I looked at it as a reflection in a clear mountain lake. I have not decided if it is the perfect touch or a distraction, but you have given me something to think about.
I am struggling getting my point across on the dimension issue and in that regard you went the opposite direction of what I want to see. Click on the link http://tilecoinc.com/PDF/standard/tileco_8inch.pdf the shape I want to see is the upper left hand shape. This shape may not work in your design, but I want the opportunity to see it. Thank again.
Once again thank you for making the adjustments. Please turn the block on the left side of the red mountain the same direction as the ones on the right side. I would also like to see snow on the red mountain peak.
sorry for late response, a little downtime from my internet provider.
two lines just accent to represent of brick grout and precision.
I have these idea from your link was given : http://www.blocklayer.com/BlockWalls.aspx and there I saw about brick calculator, block types, and I think in this industry everything must be precise and fits with each other..
I really appreciate that you took so much time in contest. and I feel I could learn a great deal from you and would certainly enjoy working with you with all great directions feedback from you.
if any changes according your idea in judging time, please feel free to ask me.
I am close to a decision but need one last item from you. Please take the entry that I have currently rated #1 and move the image above the text and size this one similar to the size of the entry I currently have ranked @ #6.
What would you do with the precision lines in #2 if you put the image above the text?
