#17, #20 had the right idea, but the logos themselves are cumbersome because the text of the company name is rather small in the overall design and a lot space is taken up by the rest of the design.
The concepts use a tag. I apologize if I confused you by referring to the Best Buy logo. You had it right with the initial designs of the badge in #17, #20 (rectangular). I meant to see how Best Buy makes the concept front and center in the whole logo.
So, either the badge in large (rectangular) with large text as the whole logo. Or either large text as the logo and an identifiable badge in the logo concept.
I think if you make the card so that it is landscape shape (horizontal) and then put the eye hole in the center of the top on the long side it will look more like a expo badge. Then you can try different options with a 3D feel for the card. (Either using shading or depth) This will make the card more polished looking and real. Finally, if you can play with the fonts and colors of the letters and badge colors. (might be good to give some of the letters a thin outline so they standout more.) Do not feel like you need to have all of the words the same size.
Let's try exploring other colors. I'm not sure if the dark brown/black + yellow would work as a color scheme for our brand.
Also in #51 the border is very small it gives the impression that it is a thick card which I like, do you think you can try that also? But only on the card alone (the dark portion), not on the yellow border where should be flat with a little shadow. So, perhaps make the main dark rounded rect part only have a very thin border to give the slight impression of thickness.
Then, see what you can come with for other colors options.
1. I like the blue #88 2. Definitely needs the thicker border like #75 3. Remove the Star and line at the top. (just having the clip is enough) 4. Remove the little star on the 'S' (not needed) 5. Change the font (maybe make the text, 'Walk the' same size as 'SHOW' 6. Give the text shading in the letters FYI, I think: Silver text goes well with a royal blue background and Gold text goes well with a red background.
#131 and #132 are good, but the text is skewed inward and outward making it look odd. Also you took out the rounded edges on the card which was what we were looking for (like in #98)
On #131 , #132 please put the rounded edges back on the card, and polish up the text so that is straight and stylized with a little bit of shadow. Try alternative layouts for the words: walk the \ show, walk \ the \ show, walk \ the show.
