Picasso meets Congo in this vibrant and energetic icon. A stylized body...with the head doubling as the pupil of an eye (for Visionary). The eye is also a sun, representing growth, hope and change. The rays symbolize ideas. The 3 dots in the yellow field represent Health, Education and the Arts.
Artistically speaks to individual expression...and is broken in many parts to represent groups of people working together for a united purpose.
While this icon is very colorful..it also works well in one color. Very versatile. It is strong with typography...and memorable as a stand-alone.
A perfect balance of masculine and feminine. Youth...and elder wisdom.
On a side note: I am a fine artist as well, and was thinking this might work great incorporated into an oil painting to auction as a fundraiser. Just a thought. :) Kim
I LOVE your latest one! #232. Fantastic. You work is terrific! I want all of them...AND as paintings as well!! They would all look incredible as oil paintings! I really love #116.
That's great! I'm glad you like what I have created. I'm actually off to the studio to paint for awhile. I'm going to take the design from #116 and put it on clayboard in oils.
If you need any tweaks or alterations to any of the designs...just let me know. I'll be logged off for a few hours...but, will check for comments when I return.
Design #232 Rationale: Diversity...people of different sizes and colors....different ideas...all coming together to form something unified, stable and beautiful. The colors radiate fun, celebration, and joy for the common good.
Design #231 Rationale: A stylized eye....the circle represents unity....the pupil, singleness of purpose. The leaves in different shades represent new and continued growth...while the rays over the eye stand for the individuals and their unique contributions and ideas.
Hi Ginny, Here are the additional variations you requested. Let me know if you would like to see anything else. I love how it look both on black and on the white. :) Still very memorable and easy to recognize on either color.
Great! Thanks for the new ones. Last thing.. We love the color palette in your #112 and it my current RANKED #2 (submission #280) Is there a way to see our first choice #232, with those colors incorporated? Thanks!!
Wow...I don't think it resembles Wonder Bread too closely at all. I can post a thread in the forum and see what other designers think about the subject if you like.
I am happy to make the changes you request. I am actually running out to a photo shoot now and will be gone for a few hours.
After your contest ends...you will have 7 days judging period for the submission of tweaks and revisions...so, no worries that I am unable to make all the changes prior to your contest ending. Whomever is in the first ranked position can continue to submit changes to their logos.
I will be in contact when I return.
Thanks for your input. I'll make sure and address all your concerns. Regards, Kim
New color combo per your request. I have also started a forum thread asking for other designer's opinions as to the Wonder Bread question. I will let you know what they say if you're interested. I trust their opinions... especially since they are my competition. :) They won't do me any favors.
I changed the colors around so the green is largest (focusing on new growth)...and the red is smaller....the red dot is most closely related with Wonder Bread. I will also do one where I take the red out completely.
So far 8 designers have given their opinion in the Designer Discussion forum as to whether they associate #232 with the Wonder Bread logo...and so far it is unanimous....not too close all all. I can share their exact comments if you wold like the specific info.
Just thought you might like to know....to put your mind at ease. :)
I'm happy to make any alterations to my designs for your consideration prior to your final decision. Just let me know if there is anything I can do. :)
All the best...and MUCH success to you and Visionary Corps. Kim
