That's right!! This does look like a lotus flower! I love it but as you can see from the rankings I am also trying to convey an ancient kitchen concept and the idea that magical plants and ancient grains ruled this ancient kitchen lab. Maybe the ancient Egyptian illustration of the flower could be part of a clay oven. I am not really certain how to show that the oven transforms magical plants into shelf stable, nutritious bakery products. There is a story in a book I read titled Of Water and the Spirit where there is an ancient magical kitchen described, pots are boiling on the ceiling, the preparers of the meal defy gravity and actually throw ingredients up into the boiling pots...the gist is that these foods come from another world. My breath was taken away by the story and from that point on I researched more about the ancient kitchen setting.
