Some people are concerned this looks too much like the recycling symbol so maybe make the blue curved line grey? It would be nice to have a little more green in it too
More feedback we received: Could we see this with a darker blue? Also is there a different font that can be used where the spelled out name is a little more visible?
Would like to see this with a slightly more refined font and with the state not at a tilt, lined up horizontal w the text. we do like the line separating the graphic from the text.
We really like this one and your #3. We'd like to see a version that:
-- Doesn't have those rays. Makes it look like a focal point in that part of the state and it's a little too close to a sun, and we do energy efficiency not renewables. We like #60 where the state image isn't tilted. I think we prefer the font from #3 -- in general our ED likes the serif fonts (with the tail) and feels the #60 font is too chunky. However, the "Virginia Energy Efficiency Council" spelled out in #3 you can't really see whereas you can in #60 so maybe that can be fixed --- we aren't a brand name yet and need those words to be visible in lots of applications big and small.
Annie: Additional concern is that the "Virginia Energy Efficiency Council" is hard to read. And we aren't yet a brand name that our audiences recognize so we need to clearly identify that part.
Annie: Not sure about this font. Is it professional enough? And I don't think we would want to replicate it across the site and collateral? (not a fan of the state just hanging back there, especially at an angle)
Annie: Somewhat same comment as the other similar logo re: whether this puts too much focus where the center point is (southwest va). it's a little less pronounced here, but i also wonder if we want something that looks like a sun b/c we are not solar power and it's too easy to confuse us for that and lose the ee message.
Annie: My concern with this one is that it looks like the center or focal point is what would be Roanoke or someplace. Not that we want it over Richmond or anywhere really b/c this is statewide, so perhaps we would want to rethink that design element? Also not sure how I feel about that font.
