Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - The locally-owned, independent aspect of the business
#2 - Superior customer service
#3 - A "Main Street" feel
Our Target Audience:
Our customer base is mixed. The two largest demographics are contractors - who are primarily local men in their 30's-50's, and 2nd home owners - wealthy, educated people of both sexes in their 50's-70's who visit from the New York City area.
Color Preferences
Color schemes that I've considered include Cream/Hunter Green, or Maroon (or any dark red)/Gold (or any mustard yellow)
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
I need the logo to spell out the name "Village Hardware". If you use a character, I'd like to be a black bear - but I am not married to the mascot idea (I would like wordmark submissions too).

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Due to a formatting error my requested color scheme got mangled - it's actually two separate color combos. The first is Hunter Green/Cream. The second is Maroon/Gold. That said, I LIKE combining them all together, but I'd also like to see some ideas with the two color arrangements apart from each other.
Hello from #’s 106 and 107 ACE. If possible would you please rank us remaining designers prior to your contest ending? Our points reflect in a ranking system, thanks. Best wishes with your contest.
Eight entries remain in the running - I am going to run them by customers and friends to determine the winner.
Re: Ace's message - sorry, I wasn't aware of that. It doesn't sound like a system that's particularly friendly to the designers, as I had no reason to check this site before the end of my contest I just let the deadline pass.
