Entry 24 is really strong. Can you do something like that with a house? The conversancy's main drive is to preserve history, although nature preservation is part of it too.

Entry 25 is great too. Can we see that logo in the green and gray you did for Entry 24? I think the colors are too bold. Also, let's try it by placing the right side of the logo in front of the words View Park so that the curvature of the art leads into the type. (i.e. [LOGO] View Park)

The updates are strong. I like the font, kerning, leading and position. That's why we ranked you number 1.

The tree logo is strong but feels more like a nature conservancy than a historic homes conservancy. What would be great is if you could find (or produce) some kind of vector drawing of a Spanish Revival home. Those types of homes are the pride of the neighborhood and would work well as the logo.

I'm going to post some photos of these homes, but if you just Google "Spanish Revival homes" or "Spanish Colonial Homes" you'll get some ideas. Perhaps we can focus in on a section of the home, like an arched window or something, and show the overhang of an adobe roof.

What I like about the tree logo is that it has a beginning an end. Doesn't feel like it's missing something. If we were a parks conservancy, it would be perfect. While parks, nature, etc are part of the mission, it's not the main drive.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the updates. Not bad, but the image of the house you're using looks too much like the Alamo.

Try this –

1) Vectorize these two images.
a. spanish-colonial.jpg
b. Screen shot 2013-12-17 at 8.50.27 PM

2) If the logo doesn't feel like it has a beginning an end, then draw a box around it. (i.e. laconservancy.org)

Notes –

Our main mission is historical preservation of buildings. While we plan to preserve the parks, nature and trees in the neighborhood as well, it's not the main mission. Regarding the house logo, you made, we like the "open door." It signifies openness and transparency and togetherness.

I'd like to see you vectorize or create a vector drawing of the Spanish homes I uploaded (you can do this in Illustrator with LiveTrace – not perfect, but a start). Hopefully that works.
