Hi, can you use the actual "V" from my AI file?

Client
And perhaps widen the spacing between letters?

Logo Designer
Hi, I've replaced the V with the one from your EPS file, took away the circle and filled the V in. I've also spaced out the lettering just a touch, thanks :)

My "V" is looking like a Y in this context. Could you thin it to make the weight similar to the other letters? And maybe nudging the V downward just a bit would make it look less like a Y?

Logo Designer
I had to re-draw the V in #20 and #21 the line is slightly thinner, and the V more V-like. one has slightly less length on the bottom of the V :)

Client
I like this one. How about a touch more space between the V and the i?

#22 has just a little extra space

#29 is lovely, but too girly for me :)

Trying to get the right balance of elegant/luxury and masculine, without getting too feminine :)

I like this new font. Any way to make it lighter weight?

#31 is a little thinner :)

Client
Can you make the font in #31 a little narrower?

Logo Designer
#54 #55 and #56 have all been narrowed by varying degrees :)

oops, #57 #58 and #59 are the right files, sorry!

Client
Can you make the V either larger and/or slid a bit higher on 65 and 66?

Logo Designer
#70 and #71 has the V 10% larger and further up, #72 and #73 has the V at the same size, and further up :)

Client
70 and 71 are my faves thus far. Can you (1) shorten the height of the upper-right side of the V? and (2) spread the rest of the letters out a little bit more? By the way, I like how you made the "c" ever so slightly larger.

#75 has the letters spaced out just a little more, and the right stick of the V shortened. If it needs further adjustments just let me know :)

Thanks for all of the tweaks over the past few days. I'm reverting back to 59 as the most legible of the script options. Now for the rest of the design.. can you incorporate an elegant oval to represent a sound hole, with string and a fretboard leading up to it? Impressionistic in feel. I just uploaded a photo of a guitar soundhole, shot at an angle, that may give some ideas.

Other ideas to consider: look at 87 from PonetzGraphics. The headless star is one of my secondary symbols as well, so it could be leveraged in your logo. Maybe flanking "Guitars".

Cheers,
Sangho

Something like #125 ?

The flanking idea wasn't one of my finest. Too cramped and looks odd. 127 is very exciting, thanks for that. Don't worry about other colors; I'll be sticking with black on white to make my decisions. At the very end I'll be asking the winner to produce a "dark brown" version to match the default font color on my website, but in the interim it's simpler to keep everything grayscale.

Thank you :) if you'd like to see anything else please just let me know!

With 16 hrs to go, I'm thinking #127 is still my favorite. I'm assuming that if you win, I'll be able to receive different layers as both PDFs and AIs: for example, (1) just Viacali, (2) just Viacali Guitars, and (3) the whole thing.

Do you have any ideas for a t-shirt/banner design that would be more rectangular, less round?

Logo Designer
If #127 is picked I can send you all of the variants you mentioned. Plain text with and without guitars. and the emblem design. #154 is a variation of the emblem with elements moved or removed to make it rectangular :)

Logo Designer
#155 is more rectangular while still retaining the original feel

Thanks for the files. Can you please provide large JPGs for the following:
1. Full logo, without "Davis California"
2. "Viacali Guitars plus Star" only. Black on White, White on Black, and "Dark Brown on Tan" which will act as the banner for my homepage www.viacali.com
3. "Viacali Guitars" only. Same 3 color combos above
4. "Viacali" only. Black on White, and White on Black

Congrats on winning, by the way. Fantastic work, really.
