Of your submissions, I like #53 best. It is simple but is easily a mark that could become very recognizeable over time. I like the combo "V" and star. And I really like the use of gradients in the star. I think I've decided that ALL CAPS is the best text treatement. Also, I think it's better to have a space between the word VEGA and CONSULTING (even with the different color treatments). Do you think it makes sense for the word VEGA to be in Green? I like the black a lot. Just wondering if the "Vega green" color can become part of the brand/mark).
Thanks. These are great. Especially #52 and #53. I am less interested in #49 and #50. They seem to be a little too much like they'd go with a video game. A little too "Web 2.0" (shiny, gradients).
#78 and #80 are very popular with my team. My partner (company owner) says he like #80 the Star with a V in it. Wants to experiment with the different fonts/styles. We both really like #3 and #5 font - especially the way the wrote the “A”).
Would it also be possible to do a version of #80 where the star mark is a little more 3-D? Not "web 2.0" glossy/gel. But maybe a fold in the middle of both the vertical and horizaontal axis? So the star points are folded a little? Subtle is better. I like the simplicity of what you've done.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I send first two versions with only the change on font, and the next two entries with both changes: the font and the 3-D star.
Carrion - # 123 is still the leader. I met with the owner yesterday and he asked if it might be possible to see the same mark but with a slightly longer bottom point. I think it will throw the design out of balance a little and the center of the cross may not line up with the text but... show us what you can do! We'd like to see a version of #125 with a longer point too.
Question for you regarding the font/text (which we like). Is it a "standard" font that can be replicated in other text on our Web site?
Do you do design work beyond logos? Do you design Web pages and PowerPoint templates too? Business cards? We are looking for someone to take on the whole effort. The logo is simply the first part.
