I really like submission #49 graphic element, the arrows separating the rising bars is a clever and subtle reinforcement of my promise. #43 is an interesting graphic as well.

I see from your submission you really like this color combination - I'd love to see others with deeper, rich, luxurious colors (purple, blue, red with black, dark gray?) .

#48 graphic with the 3 arrows converging is really clever and subtle (so much so I missed it at first review). Maybe a smaller central triangle, ending the white lines short of the edge, matching the lower third color with the "Vector" font color will bring it out better?

LOVE the range of the revisions! #69 is very strong, color combination is powerful, "Vector" word prominence is great, treatment "Branding" in color and font size and end line help tie the two words together nicely. The graphic treatment creates a strong iconic element. I really like the notion of the arrows meeting in the middle (#64, 65, 66, 67) and the 'spark' it creates in the middle.

Would like to see #69 with the arrows towards center (maybe without the white trap outside black?). Is there a treatment that might give this element dimension as well?

Hi WSS,

After much deliberation and input from my advisors, I'd like to select your design #66 as the Winner. However, I'd like to see for a few revisions. As this is my first LogoTournament, I'm not exactly sure how this part works. But here's what I'd like to see:
1. "VECTOR" word - no change
2. "BRANDING" word - change color to red
3. I'd like to see two treatments - one with the tag line "Direction and Magnitude for your Brand Marketing" and one without (with VECTOR BRANDING vertical placement adjusted to be balanced)
4. I'd like to see three versions of the graphic element a. as is (dark blue) b. in red c. with some treatment to give the illusion of depth/3d

Can you do this?

Awesome turn-around, thanks!

It's really close. I'm struggling a bit with the colors, and the 3d effect isn't quite there.

Colors: In looking back at your initial designs (e.g. #42, 43, 49), I'm thinking a deeper, richer purple and nearly-black gray could work with #109. "VECTOR" in dark gray, rich purple for graphic and "BRANDING". Looking at Pantone web site, maybe 19-3519 or 19-3323? http://www.pantone.com/pages/pantone/colorfinder.aspx I am a little concerned using only darker colors will take out the energy, I'd really appreciate any ideas you have on how to keep it vibrant and lively.

3d: Can you create an effect on the triangle as if looking down on the top of a pyramid (3-sided pyramid)? Maybe a very slight difference in shading on each of the three 'faces' of the "pyramid" would achieve this?

Thanks . . . I can see I'm awful at selecting colors! I'll look online for something that represents my mind's eye of how purple and gray work together and send you links. The 3d isn't really working, is it?

Do you have a strong recommendation? I really want to hit the key points of the brief:

#1 - Precision; deliberate and simple
#2 - Premium, sophisticated; evocative of a luxury/premium business service
#3 - A sense of direction and movement (not static)

It looks to me that purple works best as an accent color, yes? Perhaps the arrows in purple on gray background?

Purple isn't going to be easy, I'd like to also see a 'safer' color scheme of bright blue and silver (these colors: http://www.123rf.com/photo_14039115_blue-earth-with-silver-arrows.html). VECTOR and BRANDING and Triangle in blue, arrows and separator lines in silver.

I think the word "VECTOR" can convey more vibrancy with the shading technique that didn't work so well on the triangle, as in the "Yahoo!" logo:

The blue color I have in mind is "cobalt" on this page: http://ingridsundberg.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/blue.jpg

I think it would be quite strong to have #126 with this blue in arrows and "VECTOR BRANDING" (particularly with the font treatment similar to "Yahoo!"), keeping the triangle and divider lines grey/silver.

128 and 129 look great, love these colors together in this design! (Good idea to move away from purple, right?). The arrows in the triangle pop, the shading on the sides of the triangle give it depth and interest, and it all fits together to create a very cool 'badge'. Very nice!
The taller, narrower font is good, but I was looking for the letters to have more dept. Here's a close-up of what I have in mind: http://marketingland.com/wp-content/ml-loads/2013/10/yahoo-y-logo-2013.jpg
Looking specifically at the letter "Y", you see the left side of the letter is darker vs the top right and bottom right of the Y; to create the illusion is that it's lighted from above center, the effect is switched on the right top side of the Y (i.e. darker on top left side). I had a very little bit of experience with a graphics programs (years ago, can't recall the specific program), and I vaguely remember there being a setting in font style that creates this effect.

With this update, I think it'll be fantastic!

Fantastic! Love it! Hits the brief, "VECTOR" is strong, "Banding" is subservient but not lost and icon element is unique and memorable with a 'discovery' element. Simple, clear, strong - nice design work! I really like #129 for a dark background, too.

Thanks for your perseverance and persistence getting this to final. You are the winner!
