#6 Our favorite so far #7 This is interesting...can you incorporate the "P" along with the "V" in the picture? #8 The picture looks like a "Y" and doesn't seem to fit
Thanks for your feedback! I have revised #7 and offered up a couple of variations on the original theme. I can do any of these in any colors. I started with black and white because it is very sharp and crisp. I hope you enjoy the contest!
#6 We still like this one a lot even though it is very different from most of our other favorites. It's simple, striking, and professional, but seems to lack a bit of warmth and relation to apartments. We would be interested in seeing some variations that you might come up with to incorporate those ideas.
#121 is my first revision of this theme. I feel like this one portrays more warmth and looks inviting. I didn't change the buildings in this one because when they are flatter, it doesn't seem to work with this particular design. I've noticed a lot of submissions that are literal interpretations of buildings. Is that a direction you favor? Thanks!
#121 This is a beautiful logo, very regal and well colored. However, for some reason something about it just doesn't seem to fit yet, and unfortunately we can't figure out how to describe it in words. Maybe if you have time you can just try a few different things out? As for the literal interpretations of buildings, that is something we like incorporated and definitely favor in the other logos, so maybe you could find a way to show that a little? But then again, we like the simplicity of your interpretation (and it definitely conveys the idea of a vantage point). Sorry if this doesn't help, our strength is not in dealing with artistic stuff!
#130 - this is the best version yet and is definitely headed in the right direction. A few adjustments we'd like to see:
1. The tapered lines that you have on either side of the word "acquisitions" - please add them to the base of the semi-circle above "Vantage Point" so that they blend with the base of the image and end (on the left and right) at the same point as the lines on the bottom. 2. Can you flatten the top of the circle a little? 3. *slightly* intensify the brightness in the center of the circle behind the building 4. The building looks a bit like a large single family house, most likely because of the single chimney. Can you get it to look more like a multi-unit building? Maybe add 2 more chimneys (i.e. one for each unit)? Or maybe you have a better idea...
I think I've addressed everything, but if it needs a bit more tweaking, just say the word! Great idea about adding the lines to the design. I really like how that turned out. Talk to you soon!
Still looking good. We do prefer the flatter version, #133, and the lines on top look great. However, can you reduce the thickness of the line that forms the circle and create a smoother fade from the center to the rim? More like the color, shading, and thickness you had in #130. The current version looks a bit like a rainbow.
On #137, let's go back to the white background you originally had. Also, let's keep the bubble flat but go back to the color/fading scheme of #130. It would be ideal if we could get just a touch more white at the center but maintain a smooth fade up to the edge of the bubble.
Once that is done please submit it as a design, and then please add our slogan at the bottom so we can see how it looks with and without the slogan.
Good Morning, Andrew. I think there might be a kink somewhere in the system. You're the second CH today that has mentioned my background not being white. I've verified everything on this end to ensure that it's white and that the colors are matched identically to the design you referenced. I would hate to lose out on an opportunity because of a bad upload or site glitch. Thanks for the feedback. Please let me know if it comes to you any different than I've described. Thanks!!
It looks like the issue with the background color has been resolved.
Hopefully this is the last set of adjustments... On #149 we like the added white in the center but would like to see a more gradual transition into the darker color (#148 looks good but when printed in black and white looks a little too dark or stormy, so we want to keep the extra white). Once that is done, please submit one with and without the slogan. Finally, what do you think of widening the slogan to match the rest of the design (and if so, fading the slogan bar like the other lines above it?)?
on #152, is there any way to get a more gradual fade from the white to the blue/gray? Also, I think the slogan needs to be a little bigger, so maybe enlarge it and shrink the other lines a bit to compensate?
We are going to get feedback from other people to help decide between your logos and the other top one but want to make sure yours is finalized first.
The difference from #152 to #153 is almost imperceptible on our end, but maybe that's because the website doesn't let us look at them side by side in "large" view. So, maybe shrink the name and bump up the slogan one more size each?
As for the fade, what we are hoping to obtain is an imperceptible line between the white and the color so that when viewed the color does not look like a band going around the circumference, as it does in #153. In #148 the fade is right but it almost looks like a dark and stormy sky. So, maybe go back to the fade in #148 and just use a lighter color overall??
Sorry for all the adjustments, but we really like the logo and want it to have it's full potential when compared with the other ones.
I've gone back to the shading you liked and lightened the blue. In #155 I simply removed everything else except the logo design so that I could enlarge it for you, to hopefully improve your view of it. No need to apologize for the adjustments. I enjoy it, especially when the CH leaves the contest feeling like LT was a great experience. Just let me know what else you'd like to see! Thanks!
I think if we take #154 and shrink it back down to the size of #152 we'll be better. Also, we had another thought - now that you've brightened the bubble some, what if we brightened the "walls" of the building some?
Let's try a somewhat different alternative as well - can you combine the slogan from #154 with the building from #122 (but add the additional chimneys to the building so there are 3). Also, can you fade the darkness of the roof so it looks a bit more natural (there are some other designs done like that). Finally, now that I think about it, adding a building with brightened walls and a faded roof to the bubble design might go a long way too?
