Discussion

Hi Andrei! Thank you for your submission. I am wondering if you can give me a few different variations. I like what you did in the logo, but I want to be careful that it doesn't give off a "commercial real estate feel" as I am in the high end residential real estate field. I've noticed with a lot of the commercial real estate logos, you can kind of make the connection of towers or high rise buildings in the logo. I want to be careful that people don't mistake me for a commercial real estate company. So anyway, if you could give me a few other ideas, just to compare with this one, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Hello Bryan,

Appreciate your feedback and interest. I've uploaded two more designs (#107, #108) that better illustrate your business image. By the first one you liked, I went with something out of the box ti stir up the interest of potential client.

The last upload, #109, I think throws away confusion, as I added Residential Real Estate in the design.

Let me know if you'd like to see anything else.

Sincerely,
Andrei

Hi Andrei,
Thanks for the quick response. I really like the additions, in fact I had something similar as my #1 spot earlier this week. But then I had a conversation with the designer thats building my website and he instructed me that I should go with something more like my current 1st, 2nd, and 3rd because I can detach the icon from the text and use it in other places of the website. The problem with using a logo that has the rooftops concept is that it cannot be pulled away from the text. It stays as one. That's what I'm trying to relay to the designers on this contest. Again, I love the look, but am afraid it won't work for my website. If you can come up with some variation of shapes that might go with the strong text, I'd greatly appreciate it. Not too particular on what the shape looks like (as you can see from my rankings) but something that would project "high end/luxury real estate". I've been using the example of "attorney or law firm" to give a timeless, strong, corporate feel. Hope this all helps :) And thanks in advance for your hard work!

-- version update

Hi Bryan,

I would like you to answer two question so I can get a better feel of what you like to see. First off, could you tell me what's the feeling you get when looking at the current 1st ranked concept and what about it doesn't appeal to you. Second, I'd appreciate if you could give me at least one example of logos (from out there) which you like and feel the theme fits to yours.

Thanks,
Andrei

Hi Andrei,
Thanks again for the update. To answer your questions:

#1 - The feeling that I get from the current 1st ranked concept is a strong, corporate feel... which is good. That's the feeling I want. But my hesitation is with the stripes in the icon (if that's what it's called). I know that a lot of commercial real estate companies will use towers in their logo. I just don't want potential residential real estate clients to confuse me for a commercial real estate agent because of my logo.

#2 - This one is hard. I can't really think of a logo out there that I can say, "duplicate that". I was really hoping I'd get some real creative ideas from the designers. The top 3 ranked concepts are in the ballpark of what I'm looking for... a very masculine, strong text with some sort of object/shape over (or to the left side of) the text. If that object represents real estate, great. But it doesn't necessarily have to. My 5th favorite is really cool, but I'm afraid it gives off the same feeling of commercial RE (with the towers). I also like my #3 with the shot of the windows and the fact that there's a few colors. But anyway, I will look online to see if I can find a shape that might go well with the logo and can get back to you.

Sorry if I wasn't much help. It's difficult for me to put into words the exact look I'm going for. I think it'll be one of those things that when I see it, I know that'll be it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Andrei,
Thanks for the 2 new options (#131 and #128). They don't really stand out to me like your first few did. I'm open to new ideas for shapes if you think of anything else. Still liking #100 and #117. Thanks!

Hi Andrei,
Can you give me slight variations to #100 and #117? Maybe more 3D or wider or more bars, etc. I like these. #100 kind of gives a crown feel (luxury) and #117 reminds me of some kind of emblem the Pope would wear. I kind of get a "power" feel from it. I like them both. Just want to see what else you can come up with along the same lines. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I will upload new variations today. I was unable to reply to your last comment due to some exams at school.

Thank,
Andrei

Hi Bryan,

I've uploaded eight new variations to the designs you like, adding more depth through tweaking and shading the symbol. Feel free to share any others thoughts you may have.

Sincerely,
Andrei
