What We Do
https://valleyanimal.org/about-us/
Valley Animal Center is a nonprofit no-kill dog and cat adoption center, low cost spay, neuter and vaccination clinic, dog park, and humane education provider. We started as a cat shelter and expanded to include dogs as well so it'd be important to not too heavily favor one or the other. We just redesigned our website and the current logo is old. Our mission is Uniting cats and dogs with loving people and our target audience is currently the Central Valley of California but we’d like to reach more broadly to cat and dog lovers. We’d like to be known as the leading resource for the health and wellbeing of companion animals by running a shelter/adoption facility, medical clinic, dog park, events and camps to bring awareness and provide education on the proper ways to care for pets. We’ve considered branding as VAC but feel Valley Animal Center is more descriptive of what we do. Either way (or options for both), we’d like the ability to utilize the logo with options for horizontal and square applications.

Color Preferences
The website currently has the color scheme we’d like to stick with but based on the common asssociations below, Red = Love and Blue = Knowledge/Trustworthy and Orange = Energy would be some of our top choices however we have been using softer, pastel versions of these colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We like how the http://www.fresnobullyrescue.org/ logo can stand alone as a graphic and fits with the text. We’re open to the idea of using VAC but would like an option with Valley Animal Center spelled out. We’re leaning towards a cute cat and dog graphic but would like to be seen as a compassionate authority that can be trusted. Donations are a large part of our income and we want donors to feel confident that we know how to allocate those donations wisely to make an impact on our community.

The organization started as a cat shelter so it's important to either incorporate both a cat and dog or avoid the impression of priority of one over the other. Some of our donors are very much "cat people" but others are clearly "dog people"

We would like the graphics to represent the organization so that people can make a connection between the graphic and caring for animals or source of knowledge/authority on pet care.

We don’t intend to make many changes to the website (https://valleyanimal.org/) but open to the idea. I’d recommend looking at the site and taking into consideration the colors and fonts, although I understand changing font used on the website is not difficult.
