You will see from my logo that there is a bite and a leaf in the "i" of my name. I cannot use a bite and a leaf in my logo. I would not however shy away from a leaf, just so long as there is not a bite AND a leaf. I don't want a fruit, even though you could go for Valencia Oranges.
I'm not opposed to a complete and total re-work on the whole logo, however I am happy with what I have. I am really looking to incorporate a "bug" or icon for my company so that I can place this bug/logo on T-Shirst and mugs and pens etc. I love the Apple logo, Nike Logo, mercedes logo, the simplicity and elegance they represent are exactly what I am trying to convey to my customers.
This should be a High End logo, it should look as good in black and white as it does in a full color 3D render. I want to use it as my favicon on my website and it should also carry the "Apple Quality" impression.
If you've ever wanted to create a logo like the Apple logo or for a Mac Store, this is the opportunity.
I am probably the very last company that has been allowed to use the "Mac" name as part of my company and Logo, so ValenciaMac must be used in the full logo treatment, but this new logo and treatment should stand on its own as a mark for my company, with or without the "ValenciaMac" name.
Any questions, please do NOT hesitate to ask.
Thanks!

#6 doesn't have enough to it, the v and the m are too small and it doesn't really do too much for me. I like the shape of the green box, but the V and M don't really fill the space too well. Keep working on that one tho, I think there's something there.

All of these are the right place to go with the "i" having a rounded square as the dot in the i. Play around with this concept and see if the icon you design can somehow be incorporated into the dot in the i or at least nod back to the main icon logo.

#9 I see where you're going but I would like to see it flatter, without the glossy reflective shine on it. Stay a little more flat with the designs and then when we find one that works we'll go for the 3D element and super shiny polished look. This logo should look as good in black and white as it does in a full color 3D render.

#12 - #15 not elegant or high end or high tech enough. If you expand on the idea there might be something there but so far, I need something more "high end" looking.
Thanks!

Here's what I'd like to see, see if you can come up with an ALL NEW kind of Power Button. I'm sure you know that everyone these days is using a Power Button type of logo, but I would like to see a brand new power button "type" of thing in my logo.
I say this because as much as I like the leaf look to the logos above, I need my logo to have more of a "technical" "Computer" look to it. I think we are in the ballpark with a few of these designs, but I am still missing the connection to "technology" (specifically Apple Look, Feel, and sophistication that the Apple Products posses).
Play around with the shapes of Apple MacBooks, iMacs, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, those types of shapes and see if that can nod to what I'm needing.
Please post comments or questions, or Private Message me.

Thank you all very much!

#40 While I don't like the icon that much, I don't want to discourage the "over the word logo" look of this entire logo.

#63 While I am intrigued by the icon in this entry, the bright green and orange are not something I like. The color should be elegant, please read my posts and see what else you can come up with, good first entry though!
Thank you for joining in on the fun!

#91 Nice Throwback to the early days of Apple, I think I need a more modern look to the icon ;-)
I do kinda like the Word Logo. Hadn't thought about that look before.
Keep goin!

#10 can you remove the green dot in the "i" for me and use the font that #76 uses.
Thanks!

#65, #66, #68, #69 can you please use the font and colors of #76?
There's something to that logo you created, but I need the colors to be more elegant and less neon.

To ALL,
The polished versions are really great.
What I would like to encourage all of you to do is post a polished version as well as a flat version in black and white. As I stated in my opening brief, this logo should look as good in black and white as it does in full color 3D.
Thanks and keep em coming. Some really great stuff here.

Okay, First let me say how absolutely blown away I am by all of your entries, so THANK YOU ALL very very much! Second, let me utilize the next few days of this tournament to let everyone know that I want anyone who wants to win to stay within the following guidelines:
The icon needs to let the person seeing the logo (icon) for the first time to have a pretty good idea what my company is. I don't sell fruit, I am not a grocery store, and I DO sell and service Apple Computers. (NO PC's ;-)
I want a great combination of Technology and style.
If you submit a logo in full color 3D I would like to see a black and white and grayscale version that is flat so that I can see how good the logo holds up without all the flair.
I LOVE the polished looks that all of you have given my logo and that is the end result, however I need my logo to hold up without any special treatment. Something may look amazing in full color 3D render but then try putting that as a one color on a T-Shirt and you lose everything.
As you can see by my top picks, you could put those logos front and center on a T-Shirt and they would tell you exactly what my company does, or at least have a pretty good idea.

Really go for broke right now. Don't hold back any ideas you might have.

Read all of my posts and come up with something you will love seeing as the highlight to your portfolio.

I am really amazed at your talent and this will be the best 500 bucks I ever spent for my business.

Thank you again and please message me if you have any questions.

So I have to apologize for removing some of the logos that have been submitted, but Apple has rejected any and all "leaf" or "fruit" entries. I'm sorry that it happened but there's nothing that I can do about it. I really liked some of them but I just can't use them per Apple's request.
Thanks for understanding, keep em coming!

#199 #200 Kinda cool, but unfortunately Apple won't allow me to have a bite out of literally anything in my logo.
Thanks!

#232 There's something to this one, but the colors are NOT what I like at all, try the colors of the highest ranked ones, or go for something much more elegant. I don't like washed out or neon colors. I like rich deep colors. I don't like the font either. Stay more simple, elegant, rich looking.
Thanks!
