Color Preferences
All colors welcome, but we are not looking for a rainbow of colors, 2 or 3 colors likely does the trick.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Vaerus is a variant on Verus. Verus is the latin word for true. But that word has been used extensively.

Verus was also a gladiator who particpated in a win/win fight with Priscus in the year 80 A.D. The fight was apparently so good, long, and fair that the emperor Titus declared both men victors and awared them their freedom.

We love this! Truth, win/win, and a hard, fair fight. That said, we are leaning institutional here, so swords, shields, and all the other gladiators elements, if used, would need to be done so subltly, not as a focal point.

Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, ONLY the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

#5. We are a bunch of young, entrepreneurail guys. While we need to appeal to a conservative audience, we are not so cliche as to emply the roman column, pillar, etc. Ick! We seek simple, modern, elegant, masculine. Thanks for sharing the concept though.

OK, we're down to the top five desginers, ranked top five above. They are, in no particular order:

Hitman47
Jajat Otniel
Deux
CK
Ebonk

We'll be providing each of them with additional feedback on one (or more) of their desgins to see if we can get some further refinement on these logos and find a clear winner.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUBMISSIONS!
