Hi there. The icon in my logo is half a globe, to represent world travel, and half a sun, to represent relaxation and good times ahead.

I think you need either the globe or the sun but not both. I like the font treatment in #25 & 26.

Hmmm, well I appreciate the effort but to me it looks like you're still trying to combine a sun and a globe rather that using one or the other. It also makes that element much larger, making the word "Vacation" even longer. I'm hoping for a more or less rectangular final treatment. I know it's not entirely possible since the words are different lengths, but something close.

I see your point. Please take a look at #31 and let me know your thoughts on it.

Love it! That's the new #1. My only feedback is that the rays are a little heavy and poke into the "I" and the "N" a little bit.

Hi. I have to let you know that I need to withdraw my entries where the sun stands in place of the letter "O", as that concept has been brought up by the designer of entry #7.

I will try to get this same graphic working maybe in letter "C".

Do I have any say in this? That is an obvious design element, to use a sun or a globe in a 'travel' logo and use it in place of a round letter. The one you took down was my top choice!

I agree it was definitely a great treatment. However, that's the way the rules have worked here for a long time. The first designer to introduce an element as a specific letter gets to claim it. I had no choice but to take down the designs or else I'd get sent to LogoCourt, which would add negative points to my account.

Any other graphic ideas you think might be worth exploring?

So #45, still my #2 choice, has the 'half-globe-like-thing' on the "O" in Vacation. Would it be against the rules for you to make it a full "globe-like-thing" without actually having outlines of the continents? My top choice was one of the ones that was pulled down.

It's acceptable, as I was the first one who introduced the globe in place of the "O".
