Sorry, I forgot to comment more. Entry #15: When I saw it, it caught my eye, which is good. It's clear, concise, appears all encompassing with the half circle on the left and the title of the reports(should be report) appears aggressive. The color combination is good, but I'm worried about how it would look on a black t-shirt or hat or against a dark background, which is a common color for our apparel. Entry #16: If I were to pick between your two logos, I'd pick Entry #15 over 16. Something appears too blah on this one for some reason...not enough eye candy drawing me in for some reason.
I know you have something creative in there... :) Did you see my thoughts on the duct tape one you've done? I think a background of a animated magazine opened up with a page partially turned with the logo mixed in would be cool. It would give the sensation that even though it's a online site, it's replacing or substituting for print magazines with the same content but in a more immediate release to the consumer.
Hi Chris, Thanks for the feedback...Sure #15 will also look good on black background..I'll show you the inverted version for black OR dark background..Yeah I saw your explanation regarding to duct tape..I will try to create as you asked.
Perfect...I see that it's fairly easy to adjust the colors to accommodate a different background. I'm wondering if you're able to make the UTV in these logos a little more off-road'ish feeling or off the beaten path style of text...jagged...chopped up...or something to that effect. I think right now all 3 are very sleek, elicit speed witht he slant of the report, but it's missing the off-roady feel of it with the simple block letters for UTV. Not sure that helps or not...this is very hard to do for a non-creative guy like myself. :)
Oh okay I'll try to submit that type of logo too..well check aout another logo #21 & #22 both are giving a feel of a turning magazine page...Represented in both as white & Black background.
#23 & #26 submitted as you asked...Off road'ish type of logo :)..Same concept of UTV, but in a raw style..That will also work good on both white(light) & Black(dark) backgrounds...Fonts are very professional & popular too..I hope you'll like that too.
#26 & #23: I like these a lot better with the new font for UTV. I'm wondering if the REPORT could either be italicized to look more racey(slanted) like the previous designs or the other font for report in #20 for example could be made to look like the fonts in #26 & #23(more rugged or off-roady).
#21 & #22: I like the beginnings on this, but utilizing a font like in #26 & #23 would look a lot cooler and fitting for my market, especially if the edges of the "page" was ragged or worn looking like the text possibly. Again, I'm not the creative one, just trying to visualize it myself as to what might look best and most fitting. You're doing great making the appropriate adjustments.
submissions #30 & #31 just accordingly as you asked...I replaced the "report" font from #20 & gave it some grunge textures to match with UTV as it is in #26& #23..I gave a speedy animated textures in #31 with blue color...I hope you'll like that :)
Yeah, I definitely like the blue one better than the red sample. I'd be interested to see what this blue one would look like with the red instead of the blue, and then see what it looks like against a white background and a dark gray background, as well. Sorry...hope this isn't too much trouble.
Thanks for the feedback Chris..No trouble for me Chris..It is good that your keeping me update..Sure I'll show you that version in all your favorite color scheme.
Hi there Chris, I've submitted #31 in all your favorite colors(Yellow, Red, Blue & Brown) with 3 different backgrounds like white, Gray & Black...I think I've now completely satisfied you about my design that this design has 360ยบ ability to work well with all kind of colors & all kind of backgrounds...That will look good on your web as well as on print materials. :-)
Just a friendly reminder for the design we discussed that makes it look more off-roady. I'm looking forward to seeing it, because you're definitely still in the top 3. This is getting harder...
Part of my thought now is which of these logos will look best in a combined logo combination with my other site's logos: http://www.utvmarketplace.com and http://www.utvrally.com I'm thinking a triangular design of all three logos combined/connected together with a customer/consumer driven center...maybe even an animated utv overhanging the bottom logo or something to that effect in the center of the three logos. PM me, if you have some ideas...it would be another project on here I guess, or outside of here if it needed to be...not sure of the rules on here. chris (at) utvreport (dot) com
Yours definitely is very easy to read, conveys everything I need except for the off-roady nature. I don't think it would need much and I'm not sure what it needs to make it perfect. I love the hate and shirt samples...clean and easy to read. I guess the red and yellow one that has the half circle in the UTV seems to stand out more to me upon first seeing it...just attracts my eye more. I put all three of my logos together on a black background and looked at them, and that particular one looked the best, because the colors closely matched the UTV Marketplace logo. I wonder what yours would look like with a similar color scheme, for example? I like the idea of keeping it 2-3 colors for the purposes of embroidery on t-shirts, hats, and bags, as we've discussed. But, if the web logo just adds some flare for the web without taking away too much from the brand when it's in a 2-3 color version for the apparel, I think that's okay too. Hope this helps...
