Sorry, I don't get this.. You were worry about the clearness, readability, simplicity of the logo, ability to use the logo on various surfaces and different corporate needs.. Did you change your mind and want a complex logo design? Please advise.
Dear ContestHolder, please look again at #125 and #124 you eliminated. You will have colored, b/w, converted to grey and inverted color schemes. Well at least logo should have those options for various corporate identity needs. Yes, Alaska state used bazillion times but uniqueness IS IN combination of all elements. Again, you're the boss and you pay for the contest )) you decide. I am a designer and try to provide you with something decent within the Brief you provided. If you asked us that you don't want to see Alaska state from the beginning the design concepts would be different now I believe.. I thought you need a certain transition from the logo you have now. I can't change the direction during this stage to avoid sanctions from the LT community. Thank you for the feedback.
I don't think that having UCM in yellow will look good in B/W ads though. I do like the circular logo. The State of Alaska is covered so much by the other stuff that you lose that it is actually the state. And....there are a bazillion logos that have the State of Alaska in them - it isn't unique to our company.
Dear ContestHolder, I think the patch is self-sufficient. It will be great as an emblem. You probably overthinking about it. Reducing all the text and Alaska state won't look good as an emblem. Moreover, I thought you need a certain transition from your old logo.. Anyways, I submitted the revisions according to your feedback but I don't like them at all. Please reconsider. If I new earlier that you want to ditch the UCM and Alaska state I'd come up with something else maybe. But now it's to late because other designers submitted such concepts and I can't 'copy' them in this respect.
OPTION 1:
Can you get rid of the State of Alaska?
Put the UCM in blue lettering instead of Yellow?
Fill the outside circle blue with white font and the inside circle yellow?
Can you make the dragline bigger and add more space between the "C" and the bottom of the dragline?
Delete "Estd 1943"
OPTION 2:
Delete the UCM and instead make the company name really pop?
Make the same changes to the circle colors as above? I don't think we need to have any words in the outside circle so maybe make it be a bit smaller?
Well, the patch/emblem stye needs to be the same (think US government logos, they are the same on various corporate identity needs). Moreover, I also provided you with black/white/aged version for different needs so you have and idea how you can use them. I believe this is good option for the industry you represent. We can remove stripes.
The landscape version of the logo you've eliminated earlier..
Agreed! What about on letterhead or a horizontal version of logo? Do you have suggestions on how you could pull apart elements of the logo for different needs but still capture the overall logo concept/design?
Yes, I like that much better. The red just seems to clash.
Can you drop the "Inc." from the design and is there anyway to make the company name bigger? I feel like it would get lost when printed in a smaller format.
