Thank you Alatus for your design. I like how you blended the design to fit with current branding. I would like to see the design incorporate all three colors on a white background so that it can easily be applied to various areas. Some other things I'd like to see would be to bring out the eagle a bit more in the design, as I feel it gets lost a bit in the circular nature. I almost get a dragon-esq feel rather than an eagle. Otherwise I like that it is a strong and sharp logo, as you mention. Well done.
I really like the shield in entry #5 and would be interested in seeing how it looked in combination with Entry #4. I like the text that you used in Entry #7 better than #4, though would like the text to be a bit more equal in size (mainly just making the "Youth Rugby" a bit more prominent. #7 looks really good - any way to make the rugby ball a bit more prominent in the center, as in #4 and #5?
I really like #11 and #12 - they look really sharp and I love the new text. We are toying with a sharp, strong image versus something much more kiddish and fun. For example, www.usyouthsoccer.org uses a character that themes throughout all of their productions and it is very youth oriented. The only other thing I would be curious in seeing is something along those lines. Does that make sense?
#15 - this absolutely catches my eye and scream USA Youth Rugby. I really like the ball and stars combination since that is what we have tended to use in terms of youth rugby with our organization. Is it possible to see the design without the hands and drop the ball down a bit. Maybe too with a bit of a shadow behind everything to really make it pop.
I like where you are going with #16 with the character, though I want the character or image to be gender neutral, as not to steer away any one gender or the other. The ball, in my opinion, does this, but the rugby guy character may steer girls away from playing if they think it is primarily boys. Make sense?
I have made the requested changes and I am happy to make any further alterations if need be. I am glad you are taking a liking to my concepts and I really appreciate your constant feedback – thank you
Thank you Alatus, that last one (#19) is really dynamic. Is it possible to get a shadow like the one in the Rookie Rugby logo (attached to the bid) - I like the white outline in #19, but I think a grayish black shadow will make it pop!
Hi there – I cannot see a grayish/black shadow in the Rookie Rugby logo you supplied? My apologies if I am not seeing it? Are you referring to the shadow on the ball for the Rookie Rugby logo?
#20 Feedback *I really like the shadow, as it has definitely made it pop. *I'd be interested in seeing the logo with the shadow but without the white outline *The lines behind the ball do not look as well with the white outline - almost makes it look like a jellyfish rather than a ball *On the white outline, anyway it could span across the entire word. For example, it outlines the 'Y' and then there is a gap and then the 'OUTH' is all outlines as one entity. Any way to make it as one?
I feel like we're on the right track - we are getting so close to what I had in mind. Thank you so much for being so flexible with the feedback.
We really need a simple logo that is going to be versatile and be applicable with anything such as merchandise, website, publications, apparel, etc.
A different shadow added to the design – I believe it makes the logo stand out a little more. I will tweak the other one aswell (with the white outline).
Also, changes can be made during the judging period (7 days) by the number 1 ranked designer.
