I've decided that you can use two or more of the colors I've chosen, but not all together.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

Number 2 is my favorite, but it wouldn't let me rank it number one due to the designer being new. I like the clean lines, but I want the design to be more vibrant. I'm revoking my color scheme and I want designers to choose their own color scheme. Go wild!!!

My front runners are two and three. Again they are not higher because the designer is new.

Yes, rank number 2 and three are my front runners. The website won't allow me to put them in the ranking I want due to the designer being new to the website. Go ahead and edit your entry or try something new. Colors do not matter anymore.

Jefflevingston, rank #3 is good, but loose the door. I like smooth lines and that door just doesn't do it for me.

Hey Dafney, What colors are you liking? I've put up a few different ones, i think a dark blue with light blues on a white background will look nice, maybe an orange for some contrast. Let me know what your leaning more towards, thanks

Jefflevingston, can you combine rank 1 and 3. I like the way you have used the word urban sherpa plus the house without the door. Also, use the same colors. Took a look at your new designs, simple seems to be better for the color scheme.

Jefflevingston, I like your first suggestion of dark blue and light blues on a white background. You might want to utilize a bit of gray. I like rank number two because of the blue and the gray combined. I wouldn't get crazy with gray on your design though. Like a hint of gray where you think it might enhance your design.

can you combine rank 1 and rank 5 with the same colors. The gray was to light. I like the design on the name combined with the smooth look of 1.

So do you like the linked text of 'urban sherpa' from rank 5 with the line under it from the 'r'?
I put up two more with tighter spacing on the text, which to me doesn't look as cluttered.
Let me know what you think also with the house at the end of the text?

I wanted the linked text with the line under it from the 'r' to the 'p'. I like the size of the houses and text in 1 and 5. I just need to see them combined.

I just wanted to see if anyone can come up with something a little more funky and fresh. If you want to use graffiti that's fine and don't let color restrain you. Rank one really read my brief and using my words in the design was spot on. So we have two days left, I just want to see what anyone comes up with if I just take off all the restrictions. Far out is good!

Some information on how rankings work on this site:

How to Rank and Thank Designers: When it comes time for final rankings, designers appreciate when you choose the top three CONCEPTS (as opposed to variations of the same design) for the gold, silver and bronze awards. If you want to rank two different concepts by the same designer in the top three, that's fine.
Also, rank as many entries as possible, because designers get points added to their overall site standing for each blue ribbon they get.

This is how points are distributed:

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points

After that, each ranked entry gets one point for the designer. Nobody will be insulted by being ranked last, the points are still good! So if you pull some entries out of the "Not Interested" group and give them a rank, the designer gets some benefit from entering your contest.

Hope that's helpful, lots of contest holders don't realize this and most are glad to know. It's a good way to thank designers who don't win the contest prize, but who worked very hard to offer you lots of options to choose from for a great logo.
