To all - thank you for your submissions! We extended the contest by 1 week.

We have received many unique logos and fresh ideas. Overall, we tend to be drawn most to a picture with a solid color font that it easy to read -- not a lot of detail. We would prefer NOT to use a picture of a dog to represent "dogface". We are leaning towards a generic military/soldier look -- but not affiliated with a specific branch of the armed services. Also, we would prefer NOT to have a logo with a handgun, rifle, or bullet in the picture. Entry #47 & Entry #153 are the best examples of the picture/font combination we are looking for.

We plan to use the logo on merchandise so a clean cut look with well defined lines will reproduce the best. We prefer darker colors over lighter colors. We hope this additional information will help clarify what type of logo we are looking for.

We forgot to note in our May 6th posting that we are not interested in logos using dog tags.

We are removing #214 for the ranking because it is identical to Maxpedition Hard-Use Gear logo. We like this logo but it is almost identical to a registered trademark of a well-known company: http://www.maxpedition.com/
