I don't like the outline.

I drew the box on one of my recent comments because I was just trying to show you what section to squish.

To be clear, my last comment was about the ENTIRE "United Refinishing" part.

I wasn't still just talking about the "E" from the comment before.

I'd also be interested to see what it would look like if you just grabbed the whole rectangular word part in the middle, and just squished it in a very small amount this way --> <-- (so it is not so wide). A very small amount, like 1-2%.

Can you see the E variation I just drew?

Can I see what that would look like?

This is a nice little variation too with the lines.

I think you gave me this one because of what I just asked for a little while ago.

I just meant to switch the colors of the E, not the shapes.

So the thing that looks like a C would be on the bottom, and it would be red. The straight line would be on top, and it would be blue.

This one is really nice. It's my top right now.

I also think blue text works better than red, because the stars are supposed to be on blue.

But then again, the stripes are supposed to be red (on the real flag).

So could you try an exact copy of this, except the BOTTOM part of the E is red, not the top? I don't know if that will be better or worse, I just want to see it.

This is really nice too. I think I prefer this font that isn't so squished flat.

The "D" especially looks better. I didn't like that fat, squished D.

Yeah, I think that little shift to the star made a difference!

Ooh, nice, I think this is my top choice right now.

I think the star in the D just isn't quite right though, by a very VERY tiny bit.

I feel like it needs to be like 1% smaller, and like 1 pixel to the left and 1 pixel up.

This is exactly what I want to see incorporated into your other designs with the shield behind it.

The ones with the shield have totally normal text.

I'd love to see the shield behind it with these little edits to the "E" and the "D"

If this design and your shield designs got married and had a baby, that could be the winner.

I like the layout of this one a lot.

I don't think I want any gradients in it though.

I'd love to see more variations of this layout. This and your other submissions with the shield behind the words are definitely my favorite so far, in terms of layout. I just want to mess around with the details, and try some different color variations (like with the red and blue switched and stuff)

Maybe those gradient parts could be a solid light gray. Maybe they could be solid red or blue. Maybe a solitary white star in that blue part at the top. Maybe 3 stars across instead of just one. Maybe one star down at the bottom. Maybe try turning that "E" into the red stripes of the flag. Or maybe the "U" can be blue on the left side, and red stripes on the right. (See some of the little tricks the other artists are doing with the word united.)

I think you're really close. I am 100% sold on the general layout, just not quite all the way there on the finished product.
