I rather like your #2. I like the open P and R, but can't make up my mind about the M and A... Maybe it could look good side by side underlining 2 wide UP letters?
I don't need to see how it looks in 3D view, like your #3 and #4, I can easily imagine that, so save the work :)
PS: Changed the rating to nr. 1. However, there's somehow to much going on at the same time, it need to 'relax' a bit more, but also many good things.
I'm trying to explain my latest designs.. (sorry i saw too late the post u have on first page with using the letters U and P as a logo... In my latest concept (several ideas to see how it looks...) The letter U is cut off from the material rectangular, and the letter P is added to it. It can be steel, wood, glass, etc...
I added a little 3d effect to see exactly my point...
Criss.
P.S. What I try to say is that the UP logo, it will be build from only one piece of steel (or other material) This will be very easy to print it to a sticker paper, for a glass window, or your car, or other materials.
My entry #99 and #99 I ' trying to make a connection with photorealism, to symbolize a camera focus. I also not trying to spend to much time for a shining effect, as If u print it on chromatic steel, the shine effect will be automatically done by the lights in the room.
And also think that too much chrome effect for print and web purpose will make it very hard to read.
