Thank you for your great entries! Tsquare's #3 is on target in terms of what I'm looking for. The font is clean and modern and the shutter in the middle is great. The background in #2 is cool, but it won't work with what I'm looking for (the logo needs to be all on one horizontal line). #4 by Zoocho is also great, but it feels a tiny bit too feminine. Also, I like my name in all upper caps or all lower caps and I'd like to stay away from cursive fonts and the color black. Moving forward, can I also have a few more designs with the name in all caps? And could I see a version of #3 with a font that's all caps? I'm looking for something a little "grownup" with a very clean, stylish and "luxurious" font if that makes sense. Take a look at www.amyneunsinger.com for a version that I like (and a play on different shades of color), but don't limit yourself to this one suggestion since I'm sure you can come up with something much cooler. Many thanks for your submissions so far - I'm very excited! - Ulrica.

Just a little feedback on entries #5 and #6 that I moved to the "not interested" column. Thank you so much for the designs and they're great, but simply not the style I'm looking for. I'd like my name in either all lower caps or all upper caps, preferably all upper. I prefer all upper caps but I'm open to seeing all lower, too. I'm looking for a modern and clean look that works with luxury interior and fashion photography. If you're including a small graphic, it has to be all in one line to work for my website. I will try my best to give you all good feedback so let me know if you have any questions, and if I come up with any other websites I like the look of I'll let you know. Right now, #3 is the one moving in the right direction in terms of the clean. modern look. Many thanks again for your submissions! I really appreciate all your designs. - Ulrica.

Thanks for the new entries. Just to explain why I'm not interested in these: I'd like to stay away from using variations on my initials in the logo although they're great concepts and I appreciate your ideas (just not what I was thinking). Also, the colors and font are not what I'm looking for. Tsquare's use of a graphic in #1 works because it simply separates my first and last name. I'd like to see this design with a bolder and stronger font and all caps if possible. For example, I like the strong font on Amy Neunsinger's site and the way the first and last name are one name in different shades of the charcoal gray background color. - Ulrica.

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for your entries so far. I've updated my contest brief to give you better direction. I'm looking for a logo that is more focused on the font/typography.

Entry #1 is still the solid leader but NEW SITES to inspire for a different look: http://www.berthier.co.jp/ http://pro.corbis.com (especially this one I love).

Also, I would like like the logo to be compatible with both white and gray/light brown backgrounds for showcasing photography so feel free to design using a white background as well. I will use your logo as a white logo on my website and the opposite (light gray type on white paper) for print materials.

PLEASE feel free to throw stuff at me that's out of the box of my directions if you come up with something you feel is cool and stylish but not what I specified. I'm open to suggestions and will give you feedback asap.

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate all your work and the thought you've put into it this far. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the new entries! Very nice designs and especially appreciate the one I ranked as #2.

Moving forward, please take a look at my new brief and my last comment with more feedback/updated instructions and two new links. I'm changing the direction slightly but hopefully it'll give you a more fun design challenge than previously. I'd like you to focus on a typography design/logo without any graphics and would like to see some submissions in this direction. I'd love more flair with the typography but still keeping it cool and modern and high end. Please take a look at www.http://pro.corbis.com and http://www.berthier.co.jp/ for inspiration and submit something along those lines.

Last thing, feel free to design this with a white background (flip the colors) if that makes it easier for you.

Note: I like what some of the designers have done with the Branding Studios contest that's going on right now (for example, the Client ranked #1. Also tsquares ranked #2-4 are awesome but won't work with this one). Just fyi.

I really appreciate all your efforts so far and look forward to seeing more entries! Many many thanks, Ulrica.

Hello ullimaus
Wanted to tell you that you can leave individual feedback to each designer by clicking on any of their entries. That way designers know when you've given feedback as they are announced by email.

Thanks for your new entries and welome new designers! And thanks for changing to designing with black/white. Moving forward I'd love for you to submit designs focusing on the typography and without any graphics/symbols (although the ones you've submitted are awesome I prefer a look without the symbols). Also, really would like to see a few submissions with the totally different look I suggested from www.pro.corbis.com and www.berthier.co.jp. Thanks so much I really appreciate it!

Thanks everyone for your designs so far. My apologies for not sending more feedback in the last 48 hours but I've been traveling back from Europe. All your designs are great and I'm very appreciative of all your amazing work. I haven't settled on one design yet and I'm looking forward to more submissions so keep them coming!

I've changed the #1 ranking to entry #37 and wanted to give you some feedback on my decision so you know what I'm thinking. The #1 ranking is because that design looks "grownup" and artistically serious, yet has a high fashion feel to it in terms of the style of font used as well as the shutter in the middle. The font is modern and clean yet has a little bit of a feminine twist to it. So in terms of font/typography moving forward, I like font that is clean and modern yet has an extra special something so it's not too "strict." I also prefer all caps but as you can see from the rankings, I'm open to both. I hope that helps! If not please send me a question and I'll answer asap. Thank you so much again! - Ulrica.

Wow, lots of great entries coming in. Thank you so much! I'm sorry if I'm not giving feedback on each new design (due to time constraints), but I hope that by my ranking your entries as fast as they're coming in you'll see in which direction I'm leaning. Hello everyone. What amazing designs! Thank you very very much. I had to extend the contest for two days since I thought it important to be fair and give a few designers I've worked with for this past week a chance to do the revisions I asked for before I decide on the winner. I appreciate all your talent and hard work and will finalize this in two days once I've given folks a chance to get back to me. Many thanks, Ulrica.

Thanks to everyone who has submitted designs for this contest. It was a really tough choice for me between #1 and #2, but it came down to the different shutter design and the #1 shutter style was the one my "taste panel" of friends all went with. To me, it was too tight a game so I had to go outside for advice. Tsquare's design and offbeatdesign's entry were both really really great. All three designers in the top 3 spots were absolutely incredible to work with, super professional and talented. I couldn't have had a better experience.

As a final note, I would like to add to the new designers entering the contest in this last day or so that it would've been really helpful if you had entered the contest earlier. By now, I have already gotten used to the top three designs that I was contemplating and I've already asked for advice from my friends who have all chimed in and given their final say. So even if you submitted an incredible design that would've been something I would've considered a week ago - or even made a winner - it's simply too late in the game.

My husband, who did the contest last week, had the same experience. There are some absolutely incredible designers here, and I just wish that some of you would've stepped into the contest a little bit earlier. I've worked with my top three designers for many days (and some over a week) - and other really amazing designers that didn't make the top three who submitted beautiful work earlier in the game (you know who you are) - and I have developed relationships with these designers. This is hard to beat even if a new designer has a great concept.

Many thanks to everyone for all your talented designs and for entering my contest. I am incredibly grateful. had a really amazing experience and I'm very excited about my new logo!!!

All best, Ulrica.

thanks for the explanation to the late entries Ulrica. Just to let you know, many don't enter until near the end because their design may be copied by other designers, and this is the safest way to avoid that. Some don't enter until near the end because when you first go to the "contests" page, it shows contests that are ending soon, so may have missed the contest up until the last 24 hours or so.
