Our Ideas & Additional Information
It is important that the logo makes it clear the domain is for the United Kingdom, but we don't want any use of official government insignia, like the flag. Please DO NOT use the flag. The scrolling bar at the bottom of this page shows existing domain extension logos, and ours will be displayed alongside these: http://www.instra.com/. It has more characters than other domain extensions - due to consumer preference being short domains, please bear this in mind with regard to its width.

We are happy to see abstracts as well as icons that might be easily recognizable in the UK, as long as they are embedded in the name (UK.COM). For example (but not limited to) a crown, a key, a pad-lock, a bridge, etc. The logo must represent a company that is trustworthy and long-established in the industry - this is not synonym of boring though!

Thank you for your new inputs. While icons are welcome, we still want something simple and in line with the uk.com text; something that is cleverly integrated with the text and that is pleasant to the eye. Also, while UK themes are good for the market we intend to operate in, we will be selling to the internet industry so please refrain from using "big-bold" London landmarks. Thank you!

Thanks again for your efforts. We thought there was a lot of creativity here!
We have eliminated a few that substantially separated the UK from the COM part because we are afraid that some people will view it as two separate things.
Please keep bringing new ideas in!

Again, I have eliminated the logos that clearly displayed uk with a different theme than com. Also, we are not interested in big bold logos (#93) - it must be more simple than bold.
We want to see those brilliant ideas! The deadline has hence been extended for another seven days.
Thank you for the new tries.

Thank you for the new inputs. We feel that some of them are too close to some other existing logos though (i.e. #97 has sort of the same feel than TESCO supermarkets). Please send only original ideas...

Can someone design a very simple and "airy" BRIDGE that links the first dot to the m of .com sort of like this

!uk.com with the main part of the bridge hanging from the top of the first pilar to the top of the second one. It's just an idea - I let your imagination play with it!
