Discussion

I like the direction because it is fun and communicates a sense of happy and healthy. Could you take the Ü on the tomato and make it less of a smile and more readable U? I like the color gradient in the red and green but fear that it will add to much cost to production, so maybe play with #3. What we have ranked 1 / 2 / 3 are all in the running. Thanks!

Thanx for the feedback!
As for the gradient on that entry that shouldn't change the cost any b/c that would basically be halftones of those two colors on top of white it's not adding any colors, even in screen printing. I know what you mean though as far as where your concerns are with it, but I think the gradients translate fine in most print processes b/c there aren't multiple colors to make them just the dot pattern as it fades to white.
I will work more on style and delivery now that the concept is established, since you like simplistic and chose a pictorial mark as your preferred logo type, all of those well known pictorial samples are more refined and extremely well done, where mine is still in need of maturing =).
Thanx again!

My use of the darker almost red orange is so it is more versatile in my designs like the tomato and the earth and the inside of the mouth.
#26 is representative of a mouth consuming something Uber and speaking the word yummy. The white squares are teeth as well as just design elements but the thin lines can be removed to just show the bottom edge of the 4 teeth since they aren't necessarily needed to get that idea across.
#27 and #28 are supposed to represent vegetation in the green and earth in the dark orange, with a sun shining over the land which gives life to your livelihood it leans a little more towards a produce label logo...

Hello,
I added a few more looks for ya. #38, #39 and #41 are all similar and are designs where i was trying to balance out the elements that make up the letters. If you look closely at the U and B the shapes that make those two are flipped over to make the E and R as well and the word yummy in each mark is made of the Y and U, the U is duped to make the M's. #41 has the extra element on the lower right, making it a lower case which helps the R look like both the upper and lower case together. These also make fun patterns with your orange and green color scheme. If you look at #38 it shows the shapes the best b/c of the contrast although I doubt you want a black background, it's more for the visual.

#37 is supposed to represent a person holding a giant veggie or more specifically tomato. The head and arms are more obvious, but the negative space between the B and E sort of add to the illusion of the body a little. This one is basically pushing that idea you had of Uber and Over the Top with the massive shiny fruit, larger than life and above the person like he's celebrating with arms up in victory. It's not literal by any means, but does give off that positive vibe as you can almost imagine the head and eyes looking upward. These details can be added as well on a final logo if ears and head shape are important, where for now it is just an oval shape and supposed to just represent a figure in general holding the fruit (veggie).

I like the tomato b/c it is often mistaken as a veggie and is actually considered a fruit by most so I guess it can represent produce better than others and it is definitely a bright colored piece of produce matching your color scheme.

#40 can be fun if I can figure out how to make it less shield like and more playful. It's supposed to be both the 'U' in Uber and a laughing mouth (teeth, tongue, throat and general mouth shape all present), the mouth also doubles as the landscape/farm where the produce comes from in a nice warm evening sky. It does cover a shield look if that is appealing, not intentional. Shields can show strength or protection as in protecting your body with healthy foods... for some reason when i think of Uber Yummy or over the top yummy i think of a laughing or smiling mouth, a happy mouth. I want this to come across with this particular graphic.

Thanx!

#52 and #53 are the ones you asked for with the 'U' looking a little less like a face or smile and like a more readable 'U'...

I really like the smiling tomato, (I want it to win). #53, I would like to see the tomato larger, and still looking smiley like on #11, but with the eyes of the smile, higher, so the U size matches the size of the B. Thanks
