Color Preferences
Assuming we'd use white or grey backgrounds, we'd love to see logos in these color combinations:
Red and black,
Purple and black,
Red and purple,
Purple and white (as in purple only against white or grey),
Red and white (though we're concerned about looking too "Coke-like"! and attracting negative attention from lawyers!)
We'd like to see versions without the LLC in the design, please. Thank you!
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This is the spiel we plan to use to market our little company:

Two Straws started one day when the two founders went to the movies. While subjecting ourselves to the horrors of this "rom-com" which, despite an all-star cast, would prove to suck pretty hard in our opinion, we split a Diet Coke because as one of us said to the other, "Two straws are more economical than us each getting a small." This sparked conversation about sharing and waste, which led to our first book and documentary project on the topic. We discovered we had a lot in common despite our differences in background, and that challenging initial impressions and prejudgments was key. Two Straws Entertainment was founded on these principles, and on the belief that sharing -- whether new perspectives, compelling stories, or a giant Diet Coke -- can make meaningful impact.

We appreciate your help with this and can't wait to see what you put together!

Hello, thanks for your submission. Can you adjust the design (perhaps incorporate stripes into the straws?) somehow, so that if we put this logo against a white background the straws wouldn't disappear? It's important to us that the logo is versatile, and can be put against white, black, grey backgrounds.

We're looking for something a bit sharper and dramatic if possible but this is a good start. Thank you again.

Woops, sorry folks, looks like we're missing a couple commas in the color section. The colors we like are purple or red, and black or grey. So color combinations could be purple and black, red and black, purple and grey, red and grey, purple and red, purple only or red only.

We also like stripey straws. Since this started at the movies, perhaps a soda cup or fountain drink would work? We don't want to direct too much! Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for your submissions, everybody. The cups look great but we're a little concerned this is starting to look more like fast food. We want something a little more elegant and sophisticated, bold without being brassy. fonts should be modern, simple.

we like #2's use of the 'o' as the top of the lid cup with straws poking out.

however designed, the straws should be coming out of the same insert place (picture a lid on a soda cup), either one or both bent but not too symmetrical, not crossed and not in the same direction (picture two people sitting next to each other, one straw for one person, the other straw for the other).

we're also leaning towards purple and red - text in purple with red stripey straws? this isn't set though - feel free to take creative license.

mes - your submissions are lovely - nice, clean lines.
schnick studios - thanks, the 2 is clever, but the number kind of looks NASCAR-ish, we're thinking.

thanks again, we'll keep checking for your submissions. really appreciate the effort you guys are putting into this!
