My wife and I hope we didn't loose you as a designer on our project...From looking at your porfolio of other work we would like you to think outside the box and more contemporary from what we listed on the brief. We bought into the name of the business and didn't change it when it may have been easier so we need to work with it and we are stuck with certain ideas regarding it. Perhaps you have another way of picturing the name?
#32 My wife hasn't seen it yet but I think this is an avenue we should follow. The font used for "Drive In" is a little to bland compared to the other one. If we also could have it start in the same place but wave and stretch the font under the carhops feet as a platform to stand on that might be something to try. Before I rank this design I am going to have my wife look at it.
No, change the font that you are using for "Drive In" leaving the "D" in place where it is at now and stretching the "D r i v e I n" in a wave underneath her feet like this symbol " ~ "
and #33 look has some elements I like, but the wife still needs to see these and she is taking a needed rest so you won't here from her till tomorrow. Keep coming up with ideas though they are looking great.
#39 "Diner" needs to change back to "Drive In", or else I have to go to each persons table to take their orders and we have too many people showing up at too small a restaurant. HA..HA After this I have an idea for the pink area.
There are three shades of pink in it. From the lightest pink, down to the second shade, can we fade it from the red you used on #33, to a black and red/black checker pattern. Ring the whole pink area (that we are turning red fading to red/black checkers) to the chrome you used in #33 and, if possible, running the chrome area wider up the right side (where that darker pink goes up and over the top) fading it thinner as you reach the left side.
And, lets just get rid of quality before haste.
I may be overreaching but I like your design. How many times do I get to say thanks???
ok wow! I think I'm running on fumes now. My apologies, not sure why I put "diner" but I hope #41 is what you had in mind. Let me know about any tweaks. I'm off to get some rest myself. Thanks.
#41 The "T" and "S" are now out of place being colored white in the red background. What ideas do you have for changing their font color. The "D" in "Drive In" needs to be lowered below the new chome border you did so it is a little more readable keeping that great little wave you have in it.
As for the new addition #51 the font for "Twist & Shake" is too wild for me. I get the reason behind it with the look of movement, but it needs to have the clean lines of the triangle behind it, I think. The carhop girl fits beside it really nicely.
Thanks for all the time you are spending with this project.
