We like where you are going with the skyline concept but we would also like to see a more natural color scheme in it that really says health and wellness. If possible having the Minneapolis/St paul skyline as the background would be great so it is always associated with our company. Thank you so far for the great work!
Thanks for the feedback, I've worked on the Minneapolis/St Paul Skyline and have used the reflection of the city in the water to make sense of the brand name. I hope you like it, I'm really pleased with how this is evolving.
I've used fairly soft blues and purples as these are cool and calming colours that have good associations with health and well-being.
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the typography, I don't mind the white lettering reversed, but I'd be happy to take your direction if there's anything in particular you'd like tried.
I'm not sure if it is useful, but I am trying to incorporate an idea of how the logo might double as a swing tag or label. Look forward to your thought!
PS... Are you liking the greenery or should I try another tact on that front? Also, I just thought I should say that I understand that Min/St Paul make up the joined Twin Cities... I just thought the reflection was a nice play on the name!
Hi again, #32 #33 #34 I've gone after a more sporty feel with these entries. Keeping the brand name bold and strong, I've added movement in the encompassing arc and simplified the skyline and leaf to describe the product and place. Cheers, Robin.
these are turning out great! love the sporty feel! can we see one without the leaves? ive been having a lot of ppl looking at these and it really seems to be mixed feelings on the leaf vs no leaf within a logo. Lets keep with the red design for the testers. thanks again for all adaptations we are throwing at you!!
Thanks for the extra direction, #37 without the leaves. I think that was a good move, the clean simplicity in this is working well and the colours will make it stand out well on product packaging.
I'm getting to know the Minneapolis/St Paul Skyline fairly well now! I'm liking the gradient up to an almost neon blue in the skyline, it makes the lights at the top of the buildings look like they are glowing.
Any more thoughts or direction you have, I'm all ears.
#38 #39 #40 Throwing every thought out there... a few variations on the theme that are a little more symmetrical. #40 is growing on me, I wasn't sure when I first put that one together, but I like the analogies that can be made from this design... the red shape is like a bowl that holds and nurtures. It is also subconsciously a smile which is a shape known to make people feel good about a product.
Okay so lemme know your take on this. I love the current design but when im asking people most seem to be picking desings with green in them because they say it looks healthier. Personal i have mixed feelings about this but i need to listen to the consumers haha. Id even love your opinion on this. Would there be any way you could keep the exact same design but somehow change the colors around to incoporate the greens and blacks. In my head right now i dont see it looking good haha but i think its just because i am liking 37 so much. I def wanna stay away from leaves and stuff so i dont appear to be a holistic wholesaler. Any ideas or insight you have would be fantastic. Thanks again man!
Good old consumer research often useful but always confusing. ;) The only way to decipher opinion is to fall back on rational thought. Because it is YOUR brand, I cannot give you the answers, I can only guide you with the questions YOU need to answer...
Target audience Who is the audience, how wide do you want to cast your net and how will each audience segment respond to your brand? If you go green does that alienate a wider audience who don't associate with green 'alternative' baggage? If you don't use green will that make that alienate that alternative audience or, because they are alternative, are they likely to buy in anyway?
Personality Think hard about your brand tone or personality... basically these are wanky terms for the attitude that your audience hears when they see your brand. What it is you brand says? Does green match that attitude? Is your brand saying: 1. 'Hello, I'll make you healthy and natural and I'll minimise the harm of the toxic world.' 2. 'Stick with me, I'll give you more energy than you knew you needed!' 3. 'Zing!!!! Let's pep up on pills and take on the freakin' world! Now lets translate these to colour choices: 1. Earthy secondarycolours, greens, purples and oranges. 2. Vibrant primary colours, blues, reds, yellows 3. High contrast and fluro - Black and fluro yellow or green.
Sheep or shepherd Lastly you need to think about how big you want to grow, do you want to eventually be a brand leader or follow the pack? If I try to boil this down to the basics I'd say there's two schools of thought here: 1. Green = healthy so you have to have it in order to have the right baggage. 2. Green = cliche and using it makes you blend into the crowd.
I hope that help to clear a path to your decision, in the mean time I'll have a look at what might work with green in #37.
#64 Obviously too much green and looks a little like a Xmas decoration. :) #63 Softens the Xmas cringe but still not right #62 Pleasant, but the removal or red lessens the sporty feel #61 Is taking on the feakin' world!
#60 Is my pick of these. It has less contrast and quietens the hyperactive feel of #61. It includes the baggage of green but not at the cost of the sporty look. It is a reasonable middle ground that might just cover all the bases.
Weather #60 is more appropriate that #37 is another question altogether! In my professional opinion, if it is a sporty feel that encompasses a wider target audience, #37 is the better option... But of course that's your call! :)
Congrates and thank you for everything you did for us. I really love the logo. I will want to make a couple of small modifications to the font color of supplements or ad a shadow or something as well as add an llc to it but all in all it def is the one. Once you posted that logo and we started asking around for input everyone immediately chose that logo. Will the files we receive from logo tournament be the natives? Also do you have a personal or work email i could have to keep up communications with you after this is all done. There may be other jobs in the future that we would contract out with you for web and print designs.
Thanks again,
