For background, bamboo is nice for most tigers but Tuan lives in a desert. A far future, post-apocalyptic desert, to be exact.
Again, circles are good -- there is harmony in a circle. Trees are good -- a tree is a shamanic symbol Or something that inspires the idea of magic. Tiger magic in specific is great (see PDF file in contest brief).
#55 Added a feathers necklace, and some abstract totem designs around him, like horns or other animal parts. They can look also be like hair, ?dreads?, to give a more anthropomorphic shamanistic look to him. Also the are like thunders, ?empowering?
The crackle and rain both I feel are kind of detracting from the awesome art of the mark.
Can I have the longer fangs back, please? :)
Also, if I had any one feedback on a next evolution, it's that he's not clearly a tiger anymore. Almost starting to read like a wolf. Perhaps some black and white stripes could be worked in?
Glad that you liked the last design, after the new additions I look at him and imagine that there is a story behind him, his is carrying experiences and wisdom. He has character, and feelings. He is not just a tiger or man, but something more. Thanks
3) the top edge of his nose needs to be straight horizontal, not dipping down into a triangle. This is a big-cat/small-cat thing, actually. Small cats the nose fur dips down in front, most big cat species it doesn't.
4) the outer cheek fluff on each side is a bit too fierce, maybe it could be angled downward just a bit?
5) is there any way to work a sine wave into the edge between light side and shadow side? In some unpublished stories Tuan is sometimes called a 'sinusoidal siberian'. :)
About the sinus I will disappoint you but it is distracting if I put on the front, and disappears when I put it behind all the stuff that are going around his face.
UPDATE: #131 Softening of the design. Added curves along withe the corners. Added glow in his eyes to give more life. Revised the feather talisman, and last but not least I have hidden a sine wave on the top of his head.
Forgot to say that is hidden a half moon centered above his eyes. Maybe It makes, more sense to make it like a sun? I have read the brief and says nothing about moons.
