I'd eliminate the curvy things within the state silhouette. The bars and their gradients are enough to give the connotation of the northern lights. I think the silhouette is dramatic enough that we can completely eliminate the star in the O. Finally, because of the blue and purple text, all caps on TRUNORTH may help up the masculinity a bit.
This is actually pretty cool. I'd swap Minnesota and the pineapple. On a circle like this I'd have TRU NORTH be all caps. And I almost think this is a concept that can get away with being monochrome (black). Maybe a more angular butterfly silhouette is available?
I really do like how you did the northern lights. Let's make the Tru the color accent instead of International Church, and simpifiy the star by making it completely white. Offset the star so that the bottom beam is elongated to kind of form a cross or beaming effect. Feel free to have that O star take up more of the O - but only if you think it looks good a little heavier in there. Make the t in Tru a normal capital T
I like this much more than prior renditions. I think let's just use a regular capital T for Tru and also make Tru a shade of the green from the northern lights.
In my opinion, the darker areas around the aurora help a lot the contrast. Plus the fact that aurora alone seems suspended in the air without the spaces below it.
I really like your northern lights a lot. So much so that I think they can exist on their own without the circle or even the dark blue sky below them. TruNorth can appear in that dark night sky blue below the greenish northern lights. I think I perfer a bolder, sans serif font.
Like the idea of the cross as a letter but would maybe rather see it over on the T of Tru than in the last t of north. I could see losing the star but love the northern lights.
I love your northern lights concept. I'd remove the black cross and the established text and year. instead, perhaps the star shape can be the spacer between the upper text and lower text on each side so that only the northern lights are in the center..
