And here is the first version with the shape being more flag-like. I think it still works like this, my only thought was that with #145, the non-congruent lines might make it feel more like the northern lights ie when you see them, you have light moving in different directions rather than the same direction (if that makes sense?).
This is the one. The lines are there but not overwhelming and not too faint. I have one questions about the top border of the lights v. the bottom border of the lights. Is it possible for them to be congruent instead of the current flipped path? The result would be that the the indentation on the bottom would be on the right side parallel/congruent with the top's indentation - so it almost looks like a flag furling in the wind instead of the kind of trapezoid it is now. Don't know if that makes sense...
And here's a second iteration. Now the only difference is how the gradient ends at the top. This one I've brought back in a lighter blue - so it goes dark blue, teal, light blue. With #121, it goes dark blue, teal, lighter teal.
Love the teal/green. Glad the sparkle/mini-star is gone. In #52, you had a little tamer gradient. In 74, the blue green blue pattern makes it more silky and artificial looking, while in 52 it's the perfect gradient. So - is it possible to use the colors here but the gradient transitions from 52? I also saw the others with purple and the one with lines between the bars - 74 and 52 are the best
Using #75 as a base, showing how it could still work in single colour if needed ie you could use the full version with gradients in most instances, but you could use this version for things like embroidery.
I really love this! The shape of the vertical bars is clearly reminiscent of the northern lights. I think I'd prefer no mini star within the star. Also, I wonder if it works without the gradient within the individual bars so that it embroiders well. In other words, one bar is one shade of solid blue, the next bar is solid but another shade of blue, etc. Also, is there room for a purpleish red in there or green to lean further towards the northern lights?
Welcome to Logotournament - I hope this finds you well and having a good week so far.
Here is one of my concepts. It's simple, yet striking and unique! The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed.
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.

I've done it in three different weights/thicknesses.

Here is one new iteration, so smoothing out the gradient but keeping the teal/green.
