Color Preferences
A green theme is the primary preferred color to help promote the environmental values and which represents the outdoors and nature - although the shade of green should be more masculine to appeal to the target audience. Brown would also help associate the "animal" theme. Red also appeals to the hunter in that it's associated with blood, battle, passion, etc.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
See link below for a working draft of the web site (ignore the existing logo). Not totally set yet on the color change and may change so please do not feel obligated to the existing colors. Also might be cool to incorporate a journal/book and an environment or animal theme in the logo.

Logo Designer
Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Thanks for the submissions. Like the cross hair idea, but not the checkmark. Don't like the trophy graphic. Can you combine the journal "book" and animal in #7 with the graphic in #4 to see how that looks? Would like a more rugged masculine look (not as much focused on for example a "recycling" theme). Also would like the letters for #7 and 8 to be more sharp and crisp. Thanks

Thanks for the new submissions. I'm interested in seeing what it would look like if we incorporate a red color...to see if it produces a more bold, aggressive, passionate masculine look. I like the "Trophy Journal" text on #10 and #11...it's more clean and fresh. The new graphic in #10/11 is good since it incorporates the journal and hunting in one theme, but afraid it might be too busy (not sure yet). This is fun, appreciate everyone's contributions!

santG9design - Thanks for your submission to trophyjournal, and for trying out the red color...after seeing the deer as a red color, it doesn't look right. I like the deer black...or maybe even a brown, but not red. Not sure if a red color will work or if can be incorporated elsewhere in the logo.

I like the guns in the logo in #22. Interested in seeing a bow and arrow (or just an arrow) incorporated as well...maybe in place of one of the guns. Also, I think the paper that the deer is on in the the graphic needs to look more like a journal (right now I'm not sure people would recognize it as a journal)...pleas incorporate more of a "journal" look for what the deer is over.

Please also incorporate the business slogan below (maybe put a line under "Trophy Journal" and put the slogan below it).
"Connecting hunters and capturing memories."

Also after looking at other logos in other contests, I'm wondering if trophyjournal logo needs a little more pizazz to catch the eye (I'm not an expert though so open to advice).

I like the designs that incorporate a bulls-eye and animal and journal in the logo.

Please avoid Serif type fonts (Times New Roman). We prefer Sans Serifs derivitives (Arial, Verdana, etc...).
