TripodLogo Design Contest

Thanks to all the designers that have submitted thus far. We are very excited about what we are seeing!

We are going to wait ~24 hours before we jump in a rank what exists and at some point later that day we are going to provide some general guidance on what we have particularly liked thus far. We have so much we want to say now, but want to see all the creativity before we start pushing people in certain directions! We thought we did NOT like purple, but even some of the purple designs were enticing; so we obviously need to be open to some new ideas :)

I know we have left comments on certain logo's that push designs in certain directions, but feel free to throw us some "curve balls" if you are just entering the contest. We won't hesitate to provide direct feedback... and we love seeing all the different ideas.

We are central timezone, so expect comments and feedback to dip during the late night hours.

Great work everyone! We had a very difficult time ranking the work and coming up with our top 6-8. Believe me when I say that there is no clear winner right now. Expect us to shuffle up the rankings in 24 hours.

We tried to put together some specific guidance, but realized we need a bit more time together. We did agree that

WE LIKE
1) The image to the left of the "Tripod" text (like #23, #40,#9) or incorporated into the text (like #35, #13, #40, #31)
2) Solid colors (limited blurring, fading, 3D, and gradients)
3) White background

WE DON'T LIKE
1) The images that look like "camera tripods"

To clarify on item number two of the "WE LIKE" list: We like solid colors

Details:
We do not like a lot of blurring, a lot of fading, a lot of 3D, and/or a lot of gradients... AVOID significant use of those items (Not to pick on anybody, but #34 is a good example of a logo that has too much blurring/fading, 3D, and gradients for our taste)

Clarification on the "camera tripod" we are trying to avoid....

We don't want it to look like a camera stand. It could be any three shape converging on a point, but not three lines that brings the camera stand to mind!

Wanted to keep communicating.

We have had some logistical issues getting everyone together this morning to re-rank and provide feedback. Love what we are seeing... We are planning to circle back together as a tripod team by 5PM US CST. Look for more from us then!

WOW, we are super impressed with all of the creativity and submissions we've received over the past few days. The talent level on this site is evident and we couldn't be happier with the way things have gone. It is getting difficult to keep up with all of the submissions (we aren't complaining!) but we are doing our best to provide feedback to everyone and make sure everyone will be credited and ranked for their efforts. Only a couple of days left so keep up the good work!!

Thanks to everyone for all of the fantastic work. This has been an absolutely amazing experience for our team and we will definately be back!

With a few days left, we are going to focus on the designs that have seen the highest interest from our team. We are absolutely NOT opposed to seeing new entries/tweaks, but wanted to be upfront and honest about where our time and comments will be spent over the coming 36 hours.
